    LOL, actually you can't just remove the battery from a nox, but I do use it several times a month and have been for over a year now. I like to detect at old house sites, but the snakes and ticks around here make that less fun in the summer. I used to use a bounty hunter and I did remove the 9 volt from it when I stopped using it. I subscribed to your channel. I have a lot of tracks around here and I'm curious to see what you find around them. Thanks for watching!

    Love the Nox900! If not for the geat value of Xterra Elite Expedition Pack ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/fn6ps8mrqszIfKQ.htmlsi=rTM0inIw2fMS3zce ), I would have spent the extra for the NOX900. BTW, I ditched my Pro Find 35 for similar issues you had here in your first find. I was going to buy the New PF40, but then I saw the XP MI-4 was on sale for only $89.00 (-$60 less than the PF40 price), so I bought the MI-4 instead and happy with it. No more falsing with my pointpointer.

    I went with the 900 because it came with the 6" coil and the bigger one. It also had all of the features that I wanted. I do hear a lot of good things about the Xterra Elite. The Pro Find 35 does have some issues but I've learned to live with them. I like that it beeps different when next to iron vs non-ferrous metal. Thanks for watching!

    I use warm water and a brass brush most of the time. I've tried using water and a nylon Dremel brush on the lowest rpm too. That works good on silver clad, but turns the pennies a weird color. I plan to get a brass brush for my Dremel to try. I wouldn't use a Dremel or a brush on anything valuable because they say it lowers the value. Thanks for watching!

    I just love your attitude about digging. "Let's just dig it up and see!" You are not afraid to dig anything. I am the same way. By the way, the items you dug that looked like rocks but had a signal could have been meteorite chips. They will explode when they come through our attmosphere and scatter all about. Usually small pieces that look just like rocks. Some of them are billions of years old. Older than Earth. I have a few I had tested, and they are meteorites. I found one in our downtown park. They are worth lots of money. Mine are a certain type and worth thousands of dollars. So, keep any rocks that give you a signal.

    You worry about losing depth at all using the 6" coil. Considering making it my go to as 11" is driving me crazy in our trashy parks but don't want to give up 2"-3" I have a quarter in the test garden at about 6" and the 11" gets it fine one way the 6" doesn't even hint at a target. Very iron Infested soil

  • @JustDigIt1819
    @JustDigIt18192 ай бұрын

    I love the 6" in parks and woods. I don't seem to loose much depth around here. I haven't made a test garden to really check but I still seem to find deep targets with it. I just think it is a lot easier to find the good targets in trashy parks and swing in brushy woods with the 6". The benefits of the 6" in trash and woods out way the cons in my opinion. I am still trying to learn my 900, so I really like you showing your VDI numbers. I am really thinking about notching out the VDI numbers 1 through 10 even maybe to 14.

  • @JustDigIt1819
    @JustDigIt18192 ай бұрын

    I've had my 900 for about 9 months and I still haven't experimented much with the settings. I just go with the default setting in park one most of the time. I may adjust the sensitivity some. I know some folks don't like hearing all of the extra sounds. If you don't usually dig the low signals then notching them out is probably a good idea. I personally don't mind hearing the lower tones. Sometimes I'll dig a low number if I'm not finding a lot of good signals. It could be a gold earring or something. You never know. Thanks for watching!

    Where are you at in East TN if you don't mind me asking? I'm in Anderson county. I'm definitely more careful about how and were I dig when it gets hotter and dryer. I recently got that small shovel and wanted to try it out. I do always fill in the hole and put the grass back in place. It's pretty hard to tell that I dug a hole once I'm finished. I've switched back to using my Lesche digging tool in parks recently since some folks commented about the size of the plugs that the shovel was making. The videos that I post are usually a week are two behind. So in may be a week or two before you see a video with me using the digging tool. Also, I've never tired probing, but I will. Thanks for the advice and thanks for watching!
