The Middle Ocoee runs more than 34 days a year. From the middle of March until around Nov 1 the Middle runs every sat and sun and from memorial day to labor day it also runs thurs, fri, and mon. So during the summer it runs thurs thru Mon. (Memorial day thru Labor day.

When walking in the river, you must make sure the water is not going to be released, as when the water comes up it covers the rocks and comes up very quickly. A friend of mine was doing so one morning, when suddenly the water came up and as fast as he could he coouldn't make it back to the trail and ended up swimming the last few yards.

For those that don't know, at the other end of the lake is a dam. It has a hugh pipe that goes several miles to the next Hiwassee Power Plant. From there the water goes down to the tennessee river, where along the way the Ocoee joins it. It would be very interesting to explain the whole TVA system.

I live in rumford maine yes pretty here but a very poor town lack of help for many people here lack of resources for many people. This town struggles hard here and the town does not help its people the way it should. Landlords jack up rent to the point people cant afford they have people out of state be landlords people living under morse bridge the big bridge going onto the island. Yes a pretty town but alot of problems.

The park is owned by the Androscoggin Land Trust, bit maintained by a small group pf volunteers from the Jay Recreation Committee. Recent storms have destroyed the chairs you sat in, washed away a trail extender and took a few benches, but the Recreation Committee is already working on replacing/repairing all of that.

Hi! I thought your video was great! I have been to the Indian Head Resort and it is incredible but what my most prominent reason for visiting is for that marker and the site of the abduction! I have been reading and researching all about it lately. In fact soon I will be exploring the archive of the Hill’s abduction in UNH for research and to make a documentary film on it. I am in the midst of setting up an interview with the owners of the Resort currently as well. And I will be meeting Betty and Barney’s niece who wrote all the books about them hopefully at the Exeter ufo festival in September 2022. Also worth noting is the UFO themed gas station down the road where it is said the ufo was more likely to have landed in ‘61 rather than the field in front of the resort.

You are in the town of Woodsville New Hampshire and if you head down Rt 302 to Bath there's a covered bridge you can actually drive over. and if you go down Rt 302 to Rt 112 and drive about 8 miles to Swiftwater, there's another covered bridge you can drive over. You need a guide dude

Hello. Back in the early 1970s, we used to visit an old bookstore in a rural area near Norway, Maine. It was a large old house which was filled with thousands of paperbacks and other books. The owner may have been a woman by the name of Joyce, and I heard she also owned a bookstore right in town. Do you have any recollection of either of these two bookstores? Thank you.

Great video. I have a friend that works there that invited me to take a tour. Definitely worth the adventure. Your video is so clear, that each time you point that camera to the downstream side of the dam, I get adrenaline Spike and nausea. No thank you to that big ladder. I love being high in the mountains on a natural structure, but man-made stuff is a different story.
