  The EW-DP series would be amazing all around solution, but no timecode??? Receiver should include at least a simple timecode generator and send it to transmitters and to audio out channel. Otherwise syncing 32 bit recordings from transmitters is a headache I am not willing to take. Even cheap RODE and DJI sets offer timecode.

  I like that you've gone for the HD500 series form factor for this one. I own the HD 560S and enjoy it for both gaming and working with video editing/audio mastering. I was genuinely surprised by how much bass the 560S has for an open back. I love it.

  Is it possible to use the plug-on transmitter as a standalone device, with a XLR microphone, and record (just) on the card, without any receivers around? I have a usecase where I just need a hi-quality audio and this would be a great portable solution. Thank you.

  The SKP can be used as a standalone device to record in either 24-bit or 32-bit float - you have two inputs: either locking 3.5 mm or XLR and you also have switchable 48V phantom power.

  Never buying wifi headphones again. Whenever there's something very loud the limiter kicks in reducing volume drastically, then it takes up to a minute to return to previous level.

  It would be great if the internal recording would receive a timecode input - via the app for example, to sync to the phone's time of day. This is a life saver for video shooters and this product is clearly targeting this group.

  Is this done wirelessly? As no mention of connecting the unit up to anything? Or does it need an Ethernet cable from the PC (no Mac) to the EW-DX 🤷‍♂

  Is there a way to connect these to an AVR Zone 2 out without losing HD/surround audio on the Main speakers? Trying to have my hard of hearing Dad watch movies with me and hear the dialogue without me losing 7.2 speaker-setup. It changes the sound output to Stereo for the Main and Zone2. Stereo for Zone2 is fine for him.

  In most scenarios, connecting to anything EXCEPT a headphone plug keeps the speakers on, and the overall audio signal goes to the transmitter where it is then sent to the headphones (receiver).

  @@sennheiser That's true in my case however it downgrades the audio on my Main speakers to stereo - that's my issue. I want to maintain my Main audio to remain 7.2 and play DTS-HD, True-HD, Dolby etc.

  I have 3 pairs of Sennheiser Headphones which I love but these ear plugs are ridiculous, they cost $50 and don't stay in my ears they just fall straight out and do nothing for sound reduction at all .. an absolute waste of money

  Yes--they have both extension and punch, but never too much that the music is ever misrepresented. It balances engaging and truthful.
