I remember hearing a GM talk About him a long time ago. Can’t recall if It was Columbus or somewhere but he was upset about league minimum in his first three seasons I think if I’m remembering the story he went back to Russia after camp and was attempting some sort of hold out scenario to pay in North America and the GM plainly said he can do whatever he wants and when he comes back we will be paying the the same minimum he should check his attitude. If I can find that I’ll link it.
I think it was with the Rangers. Zherdev was just misunderstood. A lot of false reports about him because he was Russian.
