What wires u jumped to get cooling mode outside unit?
What kind of heat pump do you have? Depending on mfg. R G Y O. or. RGY
Man, can you explain this to me a little more....I understand the concept but....
Bob Seger is unusual for you 😅
I love his music. It’s Still the Same if you think about it. lol.
@@hvacotj uhh, no that's Billy Joel. Different musician 🤣🤣
No. Fella. Bob seger and silver bullet band. Still the same. What you talking.
That’s a short for you PAPA
@@hvacotj It's still rock and roll to me. You got to get the title right if you want to avoid ambiguity. Once you add the It's and other commentary, you have a new reference. (But you're older now and still running against the wind.) I'll stop now 😁
Power surge ?
That’s what the lady said. I be honest. I can’t call it. What do you think it would be from.
For real power surge.
I took gfcis of all the condensate pumps and put normal outlets. They are nothing but problems. New installs were full of these issues. We took em out after inspections. You'll be back
I'm sure. Probably code for sprinkler system above. What a joke. Thanks bro.
@@hvacotj they say it's code here because it's plugged into something near a water source or something stupid like that
Great video. Thank you for sharing
Thank you.
Well that make shift wire job looks very familiar. Good fix bro!!
Thanks 👍 Ant. Definitely makeshift.
At 2:59, those little shells are from mouse activity. They nest in the electrical component area behind the protective panel (he has the panel off in that shot to get to the wires).
Kk
Great job my friend I've had to do that several several times
I appreciate that bro.
AAA+++.
Always keep ecm rescue motors ez13 or the pro select one works as well
Copy. Thanks. My inventory guy is a little slow to the game.
How would clean clog thats udnerneath foundation of house though, then drain pipe is outside side of the house?
Use air compressor.
Probably doesn’t go into foundation. Maybe basement or crawl. But use compressed air. Not to fast. Then test w hot water.
@@hvacotj we don’t have a basement or crawl space. Our air handler is in the garage the drain pipe goes under the living area? Then you don’t see the pipe again until the side of the house where it sticks out from under the ground.
@beammeupscottsp7952 use an air compressor
@@hvacotj thank you will try. Is it possible to have a partial block, I stuck a shop vac on it the other day. Pulled about 2 gallons out, turned the ac back on and it leaked again but also was dripping out the drain pipe like it was suppose too so not sure haha.
We use Qwikswap boards for this. It allows u to convert from ECM to PSC and utilize the speed tappings
I never saw that. Thanks Daniel.
I’m going to check
Been seeing a lot of bad work. Good guys are hard to find. Experienced people are expensive. Customer have been shopping around and getting the bad ones more and more lately. 😢
I know. Terrible.
AAA+++.
Thanks brother
A lot a people can't afford a new system nowadays. They will install a window unit in the bedroom.
More than a lot of people.
Your a true American hero for this video
You too
Not a huge fan of how that supply plenum was setup. If its that undersized and 14 years old when was the addition put on? Lets flex everything!almost.
Andre. I know how you work. Total opposite of this. This is bad.
You’re amazing at install.
Just unclogged mine. What is the best way to be sure everything is dry.
Test with water. Like a Poland spring bottle. Pour from trap or pan throughout.
Hackery Dackery Duct, That system is really *****ed, Down you came, told the landlord the same, Hackery Dackery Duct .. Enjoyed the video. Thank You...
Thanks bro
Previous tech had it in the wrong plug
Proper make up unit takes in 100% outside air and heats or cools it for the season
Sounds like an issue they will deal with.
Perfect best video ever was so annoying this leaf
I have one exactly like that. Still running strong. The serial number has been wiped out from exposure to the sun.
Excellent unit.
Super crisp video quality and sound. Don’t try to upgrade camera. Seen other YT HVAC upgrade to GoPro and not as good and they switch back. AAA++.
Thanks bro. I have noticed that too.
In the beginning, why did it read 0 volts from black to yellow?
I don’t remember may not have been to DC
I’m not positive of this video u unless I watch. Inverter usually dc if that’s a carrrier
Thank you so much
Looks like a cannabis grow

Thanks Mike. Your content is second to none. Keep being great
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Thank you too.
Keep the videos coming Paul. Love the content!
I appreciate your words. Thank you very much
What’s funny is I had a call like the 1st call in this video today, same model. 80 psi on the suction line and 345 on the head side. Subcooling normal 8 but my superheat was 76. Put unit in heating and pressures looked normal a bit high but normal and it was heating properly. Put unit back in cooling and opened the air handler and put my hand over the bulb, pressures didn’t budge, superheat and sub cool the same. Txv was freezing that mf was almost all the way closed. No temperature difference on filter drier, quoted new txv
Yes it’s a tough call on those. I really show much about that call because they can be tricky. I still quoted the flat rate txv the piston outside and filter drier because we will have line set open anyway. Thanks broski.
Hi I have the same exact one and mines didnt show temporary hold at all so we turned it off and held those two buttons and it was already 120/0 so we left it and saved it and then we turned down the temperature it’s 89 inside and I put it on 68 inside but the only difference is at the top right corner it says cool fan so idk if that’s supposed to say that or not please help
Yes. The only thing you changed with 120 is getting rid of the option to have temp hold and permanent hold in schedule. But if it’s not cooling make sure your outside system is running and if it is not that will be your issue. If it’s not go to the indoor unit and check if and water is filling pan and the shut off switch killed power or condensate pump. Also check circuit breaker.
@@hvacotj Can I call you tomorrow it’s late where I’m at. Right now we just using fans for the time being. Let me know what time will work for you best tomorrow.
@@hvacotj I just sent you a text message!
@@hvacotj Thank you Paul so much for helping me out! You’re truly an amazing person and I just subscribed to your channel please keep up the good work!!
@Sleepyf0ot was that the issue. ???
Quick question I did as you did but on mine it didn’t show temporary hold or anything so I turned it off and held those two buttons and it showed it was already on zero so we saved it and then turned the temperature down but the only difference is that ours said cool fan at the top and in this video the old man didn’t have his saying that at the right top corner my grandpa touched the thermostat and we don’t understand how to do it

Finally a good video with no filler stuff. Thank you!!!
Big fan of the channel, but I believe it’s time to get a body mounted camera. Better view for audience and you always have two hands to use. Keep up the great work
Well buy him one, it's easy to say to get one.
I appreciate. I will. It started as fun. Now I take more serious. Chris I appreciate you also but I do have to get one. Thanks guys
Some people you never know. Obvious they didn't know that a 410 and a R22 TXV has different flow rates.
👍👍 Thanks Chris.
On Copeland compressors, the first two digits of the serial # indicate year and the third is the month of manufacture. For this one it would be 22Fxxxx or 2022 Jun. I agree with you, Goodman systems are good. I have a 2ton system and it has been working fine for the last three years, probably because it was installed properly. . I live in the panhandle of Florida, so, pronounce it anyway you want to, you can even add a "profane expletive" in front of it and it really wouldn't matter because, everyone down here does and at the end of the day It's still Florida. good video. Thank You...
I love Florida. I lived in Florida for a few Years in Boca and W Palm. Thank you.
15yo Goodman 2ton R22 system currently holding down to 73f on a 110f day.
@InsideOfMyOwnMind Goodman are excellent. Even their high seer units last longer than Carrier. But these 13-14 seer with caps and contactors are even better. The price point is perfect for the quality.
So the reversing value may have gotten stuck
Absolutely I think. Prob stuck open and flooded the system
Some soils are compatible with R-22 and R-410A
Txv was r410. Metering device
Èasier to check compressor short from contactor side by disconnecting cables and testing.
Not the right way. You ever find broken wires touching. Direct short. So yes may be easier but false. Always work smart even if it’s a bit hard
Checked float ? Might have broken Y
Float was checked at the same time drain and air flown and filter was checked. If y safety broke y how would my condenser run? I am adamant about staring diagnostic process at air handler
Happy 4th 🎉
Happy 4th
2 more years to 250 baby! If we make it that far 🤠. Happy Independence Day Paul 🇺🇸
You too Sam. Happy 4th. Two more years.
Happy 4th, Paul 🇺🇸 💪
My Man Steve. Happy 4th my Brother
Enjoy Paul!! America baby!!!
You too Anthony. Thats all we can do. We got this. America the Brave. America the Strong. 💪
no failure found, that has got to make you think. no fun not working out of your own truck.
Company truck
Might wanna have checked the taps on the transformer, usually with heat pumps as you know they are either 208-230 volt. High electrical demand does funny things things.
Cousin. I didn’t show checking the capacitor either. Or the fan amps. Or the filter. It’s a ten minute video. I work on systems and controls many can’t begin to understand. This is simple. But I don’t have a production team with me. If you get me one, I will check the batteries on film. Come on bro. It’s Fourth of July. Enjoy yourself. Really. ⌨️. Keyboarding is not the best look.
Thanks for learning on voltage. Hilarious my son.
Whoa..... I'm merely suggesting something....I been doing this for 35;yrs .. don't get all defensive with me son ...I never pointed out what you might have done wrong. I never do
Not defensive. I understand what you’re saying it’s just the videos only show basic things that are not obvious. 208/230. 228 coming in yesterday. Sorry to sound mean
Happy holiday bro.
do your customers understand the "good money" slang lol
Lmao. Sometimes. One lady said to me oh I know you’re going to charge me. I said no no. It’s how i talk. I always explain myself off camera. It doesn’t sound great when they haven’t gotten bill yet but I get personable with customers so I let them know all the time. I’m glad you asked.
@@hvacotj lol
22VAC seems low, usually want minimum 24VAC.
I know. She is a gold customer so no charge for service calls before parts. I want to wait until it fails. I explained everything to her. I would have liked 27 volts.
