Panel audio was terrible which ruined the panel discussion for viewers.

The ambiguous (albeit I am sure in good faith) use of polisemic words such as "see", "teach", "learn", "knolwedge" is what is causing the greatest misunderstandings between AI and domain experts. Seeing an image for a human is a vastly different task involving reasoning, affection, context awareness, common sense, attention etc. (with many pros and some cons) as opposed to what a neural network "sees". The purported benefits shown in slide 4 are ALL to be proven so far and for what is worth I am extremely skeptic about them.

I’m somewhat of a luddite, but I believe AIMI is a redemption opportunity for AI and Machine Learning and big data. This is such a pragmatic approach to improving rural health care, early diagnosis, rare disease diagnosis, decreasing costs and improving outcomes. Thank you!

excellent talk! a bit of a firehose but the fireside chat helped me understand some of the key challenges in moving this vision forward. Absolutely *love* the idea of creating programs to train bi-lingual translators!
