My summary: 1) paintings, paintings, paintings, a couple of beds and nothing else to see; I wouldn’t stand in endless queues for the sake of paintings; 2) plafond ceilings are flashy, tacky, tawdry and heavy; too much marble (in inner rooms) and gold leaf everywhere; 3) the curtains are shameful, monotonous and of the same type, as is the upholstery of the walls of the rooms on the first floor; it is clear that this is a republican remake & fake; 4) on the first floor, under the main staircase - there’s nothing worse: At least there would be some decoration though. It can't be like that for Louis. Even among ordinary French nobles and landowners, the entrance lobby was decorated with taste, as were the upper floors; 5) The windows in the enfilade rooms could be placed in two tiers, so as not to make the curtains too long; Based on what I saw and what I listed, I am not surprised why Louis loved to run away to the Grand Trianon - it is much more beautiful. Versailles also has a very nice park and fountains, it’s worth visiting for that.

Ah, San Sebastián: they told me it was the fairest littoral city in all Spain. Well, for setting, agreed. That cute wee curve of bay with the mini-islands is, indeed, reminiscent of a small-scale version of Rio. But the city? The truth? For me, it has about 3 streets and Plaza Consti. to see, but the rest is nothing but a sprawling, apartment-blockey bathetic let-down. Lift San Sebastián up, plonk it 200 miles inland and it would be what it really is: a vaguely modern-looking nondescript town with a rather small, but not unattractive, Old Town, based on one mildly attractive plaza, and, frankly, little else. Unless you like the pintxos bars.

I totally disagree, just look at the buildings in San Sebastian: the old 19th c. Casino, the Maria Cristina hotel by the Ritz hotels architect, the plaza Guipuzcoa and most of the central city built in French style, inspired by the French international style such as: Paris opera house, Rivoli street, etc. etc. And the old town: 16th c. Monastery (now museum), late-gothic and Baroque churches... Oh, and many parks and gardens designed by 19th century master Pierre Ducasse. Not really a "nondescript town" as you put it... you must be blind.

No, its not a click bait. It was what some bathers told me when I approached with the camera, since, indeed, there were naked people, since this beach is partly a nudist beach.

@@kreatingadventures You must have been close up. I honestly couldn't see any naked people. Spain has this image of all the women going topless, which is inaccurate. Maybe 2%. Most nude beaches I have seen in the US, Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean are the same story; mostly old men, with a smattering of a few topless women, here and there.

Efectivamente, la playa Zurriola. La playa de La Concha hay pasar la desembocadura del río, recorrer el paseo nuevo, el puerto y se llega a La Concha. Bonito video.

Because I forgot to lock the settings on the camera, the lens inadvertently changed from linear to wide, something I realized much later at the hotel. I didn't have a second chance to go to the palace. I flew the next day to Italy. So I had two options: upload the video or discard it. I decided that despite the drawbacks, it still had some informational value and was therefore worth keeping. I fully understand your reaction, but unforeseen events do occur.
