I believe the Jimny isn't available in EU markets as the engine doesn't meet EU emission requirements. It's a pretty basic 1.5 litre petrol as the only engine option, no hybrid or EV. Choice of 4-speed auto or 5sp manual box. All models have 4WD with 4L low range. Emissions aren't great. Fuel consumption official figures are 6.5 to 6.9 L/100km but real world figures are hard to come by - I've seen reports of everything from about 7.5L/100km (which is still fairly good) up to 11L/100km+, which is about what my far heavier, 19 year old 3 litre V6 burns through - and probably about as clean, to be honest. It's a shame they won't give it a mild hybrid train (like they have on the Ignis in Europe) and a 6-speed auto (hell, even a 5 speed would be a start) to get the emissions and fuel consumption down, and give a bit better torque. I know it'd put the price up and people complain about electrical systems, but mild hybrid systems are proven and well understood technology at this point, and Toyota have been building them with bulletproof reliability for years - so it can be done.

I think it's a great car and seriously thinking about replacing my old Mazda with it next year, but the emissions and efficiency concern me. Tossing up between the Jimny and a used Outlander PHEV. The PHEV is cleaner and more efficient, but I'm not sure it'd handle trails that well, and I dislike the complexity of the system.

Yokohama AT or Continental At are best . Upgrade 1 size if you do frequent off roading .

Reduce the tyre pressure, increase the laden weight for traction of the tread, please, keep the transmission & gear in 4x4 low and please easy on that accelerator. Where there is as such low traction giving high raise accelerator only worsens the stuck situation. 😊
