Well, I like my fries to look like the ones without the foil. I might try the longer time (> 23 minutes) with crumpled foil to see if I get “ crispier( and browner) fries that you mentioned as an alternative.

Oh wow, don’t look at my oven. How do you clean your oven? Do you use the self cleaning function? Oh wait, the outside of oven looks bad. You are right.

You are working too much with your splitting technique. No need to swing that maul with all your might. Just let it drop and let the weight of the mail do the work. You spend most of your time bending over and picking up the wood every time you split a piece off. You.Must be exhausted, after doing that for an hour. So many unnecessary movements. Set the rounds inside an old tire to contain the split off pieces so you don’t have to chase them all over. I have been guilty of the same thing,, but I just saw a video of a guy who uses an old tire a little larger than the round, and he was splitting very fast, with a lot less work.

I like your method but these are ALMOST perfect frozen fries. If you want real perfect fast food style fries, hit them with a spray oil before they go in the oven. it is much closer to perfect than dry fries.

Thanks for the info it was very informative. Love watching, you look so nervous Matt. You don’t need to be pretend that’s me standing there and your just telling me. You have so so so much excellent knowledge on what you do that people could use. Maybe you could tell us small home farmers how we might use the same methods in our gardens. I learned a lot on this, Thanks again.
