    So I’m actually about to add a motor on my Teton and I was wondering how did you feed the cord through the two drilled wholes for the foot pedals?

  • @334tacticaloutdoors
    @334tacticaloutdoors2 күн бұрын

    @@bullybreed86 I removed the flush mount rod holders drilled the holes on the stern and by the foot pedals. I use a wire clothes hanger and stuck it through the holes on the stern all the way to the flush mount rod holder hole then tied some string to the clothes hanger and pulled it through. Then from by the foot pedals I did the same thing then tied the springs together at the flush mount rod holder then attached the nylon cord to the string on the stern and pulled it all the way to the pedals.

    Great video but one question. How do you transport this to the lake? Does it fit on the back of a pick up truck? or do you have to buy a trailer for it?

  • @334tacticaloutdoors
    @334tacticaloutdoors4 күн бұрын

    Thank you!! You can haul it in a pick up truck but you will either need a bed extender or I’ve used a couple 12’ 2x4 it is a very long kayak so you would also need a flag to tie on the end. A trailer is by far the best way to go for it.

    1/2" ID or OD steel pipe?

    1/2” OD and you can use anything you have just keep the wires protected and help protect the friction of that shaft while cutting.

    How did you run the nylon cable from hole to hole? I drilled mine out but my cable just coils inside the kayak.

  • @334tacticaloutdoors
    @334tacticaloutdoors9 күн бұрын

    Remove the flush mount rod holders. Drill the holes by the pedals and at the rear of the kayak. I took a wire clothes hanger straightened it out I stuck it from the rear hole to the flush mount holder hole attached some string and pulled to there then took the clothes hanger from the hole by the pedals and stuck it through to the rod holder pulled string through then tied the string together and from the hole by the pedal I attached the nylon cable to the string and pulled it all the way to the rear. It just takes some patience but it’s very simple.
