The notes on my guitar and piano aren't the same as Abeltons keyboard. 'E' on my instruments are showing as 'A' on the note editing keyboard of Abelton. How can I resolve this so I can write my music to midi? Please help if you can. Thank you. Dennis.

My experience with MQA has confused me. Therefore, I have a few questions: 1. Does MQA actually correct electrical issues with analog gear? 2. Does MQA sound like mic feed, master tape, or a digital synthetic version of one of those? 3. Why does MQA sound different when you switch between MQA-compatible DACs and between headphones and speakers? The only two DACs I have experimented with are the Fiio E9 paired with Sennheiser HD600 headphones and a Dragonfly Red DAC paired with Audio Engine A5 speakers.

S-Mcdsp/fab filter/waves/izotope A-plugin alliance/ soundtoys/ slate B-UAD/psp This is purely based off how I like them I didn’t include pricing or Ilok just purely how I feel while using, don’t have any uad yet so that’s in B just because I at least know their decent.

I'm interested in buying and downloading hi-res files, but I don't want streaming. That is, I want to pay per download, and not pay per month. Is there a service for that?

SSL plugins are notorious for HIGH CPU usage which can spell trouble quick for most bedroom producers. Love their stuff but for this reason, I'm out.

The Plugin Alliance bundle rules. I like that they made the full bundle cheaper now. $15 a month. And you get like 100 plugins. And you also get three free plugins a year, so eventually you can just accumulate all the plugins you like and stop subscribing. All of their stuff is great. Btw, they have some great Ampeg bass amp sims that could have worked on this song.

Does Pro Tools not have a command that allows you to paste all the channel strip settings at once? I've watched three videos of yours, and you always drag every plugin over individually when you want the same settings. In Logic, Option Command C copies all of the channel strip settings. I imagine most DAWs have a similar command. Much less tedious than dragging 10 plugins over one by one. I also think you can grab all 10 plugins at once and drag them together.

I don't get the rationale behind panning drums from the drummer's perspective. Isn't the point to make the listener feel like an audience member watching the band? No one stands behind the drummer to listen to a band. And if you commit to drummer's perspective, shouldn't that dictate the spatial placement of the other band members? And yet it doesn't. So what ends up happening is the listener gets a disorienting mix of audience perspective and drummer perspective.

The Audio Professor - Hope maybe you'll see this Lorne. It's my firm understanding that whatever I do with automation levels - let's just stick with volume for simplicity should have zero, zilch, nada, effect on volume levels in my many scenes in session view right? Thanks. Good lesson btw!

Dumb question - fully understand it’s all 1s and 0s, but did you find your mix and master to sound different in Reason? The way it sums audio perhaps? Probably user error, but I find my mixes to not sound as clear in Reason vs other DAWs.

Insightful and well-narrated. Thank you for that. How about this tho? I mastered some stuff (loud EDM) with Ozone (MacOS) by setting the true peak to -1 dBTP... When I uploaded the bounced master track to Distrokid for distribution, their UI suggested I'd still use their "Mixea" mastering service (paid)... As the preview generated by "Mixea" sounded imho CLEARLY better over reference calibrated headphones I decided to go for it; I mean use the "Mixea" master. Once done I downloaded the mastered audio (still wav) and this file shows almost +1 dBTP at least in Expose 2 analysis ... However... Honestly, this "clipping" file still sounds better :) Do you see this as a problem?
