yeah, sure, you can make computers using redstone. And sure, they would work. But you do understand redstone is a dust though... right? Most computers have insanely small channels and circuitry to function. A minecraft computer would be insanely big, and would likely never be as compact as what we have irl
@AlledionАй бұрын
Ur not taking into the fact that we don’t actually have the materials in Minecraft to make circuit boards so I guess computers will be fairly chunky and large scale powered by this weird dust which does work in the world of Minecraft

1:34 Really neat video! Correction here, though-studies have found that oxygen levels during the Mesozoic were about the same as if not slightly lower than modern oxygen levels. Dinosaurs came in all sizes, but the biggest ones reached their masses thanks to anatomical adaptations for gigantism-not excess oxygen! There *was* a period of earth’s history where oxygen made up ~40% of the atmosphere, but this was during the Carboniferous, which ended almost a hundred million years before the first dinosaur. The excess oxygen facilitated the growth of giant arthropods such as eagle-sized dragonflies and millipedes the length of cars, but they persisted after the end of the Carboniferous and the oxygen crash. They kept their big sizes due to a lack of competition from vertebrates, not because of excess oxygen.

Actually, dinosaurs, depending on their ecology, became so massive because of their air sacs that gives extra oxygen, and in the Mesozoic, their oxygen levels varied around average, so even in the modern day, they’ll still survive even in low temperatures. Only insects do that because they don’t have any lungs.

The idea that animals would be bigger would only be relevant to arthropods (bugs), as they breathe in a different way than other animals. It's one of the theories as to why during the Carboniferous period, the period with the largest amount of oxygen in the atmosphere, bugs were HUGE. Which also explains why spiders, silverfish, bees, etc. are so huge in Minecraft.

1:30 the only creatures effected by higher oxygen levels are arthropods (basically bugs). Vertebrates(animals with back bones) are not limited by oxygen levels in the environment Arthropods breathe through diffusion. It's a process where oxygen passively absorbed in to the invertebrates body by contact alone. This only works up do a sertain size before it can't effectively support the body's oxygen needs. That's why arthropods are limited by oxygen levels in the environment for thire body size. Vertebrates aren't bound by the limitations Invertebrates have because they actively breathe through thire lungs and can supply the body with oxygen more efficiently at any size that insects will never reach. The only limmit Vertebrates have to thire size is that they eventually physically can't support their own weight on land at sertain size.

Minecrafts day-night cycle being so short would actually turn the planet into the equivalent of Mesklin - a hyper-earth rotating at such insane speeds that it's equator bulges out like a oblate disk, rather than a sphere. This also means the M.Earth's Equator would experience far less Gravity at the poles. Also, the scale of the planet wouldn't affect its temperature, Earth itself varies in its orbit by a million kilometers, and that barely impacts the global temperature. 20 minutes in no sunlight won't make the night-zone freeze instantly.

Wanted to add for entertainment purposes: Larger oxygen does cause larger creatures, but this likely wasn't the case for dinosaurs as in the Cretaceous oxygen levels actually dipped below what it is today If Minecraft suddenly accounted physics, the rotation and size of the planet would cause the centrifugal force to rip it in half... Neanderthals likely weren't less technologically advanced. They just happened to go extinct during a time when no one was advanced enough
