  I was wearing a mesh riding jacket and hit some sort of big bug on my shoulder at around 80mph, left a welt like i got shot with a paintball gun. I know it wasnt a rock either as there was no one in front of me nor oncoming

  It’s so nice going to a job. Every time I leave I go home and I don’t feel like I’m at work. Work the way that works best for you.

  I agree. I am in the downtown office several days a week so it’s kind of the best of both worlds. I don’t think I could work from home 100% of the time either .. thanks for stopping by 👍

  Polarized sunglasses are the solution. The right pair will leave your colors right, unless you have some hindering level of colorblindness.

  I drive east to go to work at one job. So I leave before the sun is up and all the snooze button hang overs that race to be late are still hitting that loozer button. I get done around 9am and see them moving about 2mph heading east as I head west at the speed limit or a little over.

  I typically leave the house at 7:01am and when I get to the biggest intersection on the way to work, nobody going in my direction can see a damn thing because of the sun straight ahead!

  In some areas they are programmed that if you're doing the speed limit you won't be stopped by a bunch of lights once you make it through the first one. Definitely not the case here

  Yeah, I can’t find any rhyme or reason or “perfect speed” to make it happen! 🤣🤣 there have been times when I have not put a foot down except at stop signs

  Meanwhile as someone who drives a metric ass ton, if im going the speed limit from a stop light, by the time i get to the next light it will be red again. However, if i go ~5-10 over i will hit that light and most of the next lights on yellow or green.

  It really was super helpful IMO. Lots of slow maneuvering drills as well as some moderate speed avoidance and breaking technique. Plus they had an amazing spread for lunch and snacks 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  Good call out .. I’ll have to keep my eye out for that and report back. Typically the GS gets rain duty in commute days and the 650 gets to stay dry in the garage 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  Lovely ride 😊 Wild life is definitely an issue around here😊 Down the small country lanes deer, foxes, pheasants and rabbits everywhere. One of the reasons I like having a bike that makes a bit of noise, puts them on alert. It’s not the whole answer but I am sure it helps. Probably no help on a highway but certainly on the country lanes😊 Thanks TR 😊

I agree with the noise part, at least I hope it helps.. 🤣🤣 Night riding makes day riding seem like a “walk in the park” from the point of view of alertness and situational awareness.. hopefully making me a better rider all around.   Thanks TAYM! Yeah, the “Fall “ weather here in the South can be wacky for sure. 24 degrees on Monday and then 75 degrees on Sunday. 😅 not unusual to have 20 degree swing during the day from the am commute to the evening commute home 😩
