  I've got cheaper ones that started squeaking. One tiny bit of oil on the coil will eliminate that.

  You just burnt your olive oil. Olive oil has a relatively low flash point. You can canola or vegetable oil instead. Burnt oil will clean off stainless. It just takes some elbow grease or barkeepers friend.

  Use peanut oil, high smoke point.

  Regular olive oil and extra light olive oil have high smoke points. EVOO does not.

  WOW ! ! ! If all that lint from the filter was from only one load----you could almost knit a sweater from all that lint. I have a later model Electrolux washer and dryer and even with a full load of towels never see that much lint. Hmmmmmmmmmm

  This is not a good move, you do know there are weeds that love burnt soil! Why not just wet the whole area, cover with wet cardboard, which kills everything, and put new soil on top of it.

  That dripping, you can fix by buying a food grade grease and adding it to the gasket of that adjusting nob.
