    If the concentration of soup is equal at five drops in all three beakers, this does not change the strength of soap. Comparing suds to soap strength is like comparing medication effectiveness to blood type. This water comparison makes no scientific sense other than showing the chemical reaction of soap suds and water types. Nice try with your analogy!

    @@agreatd Honestly, without a pump 8 seconds sounds normal to fill a cup. RO's just can't make a lot of water pressure. If you add a permeate pump to your system it will greatly improve it though and they are fairly inexpensive (around 70 - 80 dollars).

    Will this stop the vibration noise I get when I use the filtered water?

  • @uswatersystems
    @uswatersystemsАй бұрын

    No it will not. That noise is from air getting trapped in your line. Try closing the valve on the tank and then tilting the RO system to a 45 degree angle and then turning on the faucet until the water is drained. Open the valve on the tank after this and see if it improved after the system makes new water.

    This video is almost well done ... some steps not well covered or glossed over and the manual that comes with the filters is actually missing several steps as it seems like is it trying to be generic but not details enough for specific systems such as the 5 stage or 6 stage. The contradiction in instructions is actually confusing and frustrating ... Please redo an updated version of the video and instruction booklet with just a few edits for clarity, looking at the inputs made by others below, and I think you'll have a much better set of instructions! This is a great system, don't lose your customers over confusing instructions ...

    Thanks! My RO-132 tank only released 1.25 gallons and then I pushed-out 2.5 more. Re-pressurized to 6psi. Faucet pressure is sustained, BUT my wastewater ratio (w/ booster pump) is MUCH worse at 4:1 when before it was 1.65:1. I'd rather have a lower water discharge capacity (lower tank psi) and have a better waste ratio. Looks like I'll be doing this over and reducing my empty tank pressure from 6 to 0psi OR remove the tank altogether and get a trickle with 1:1 ratio. Because of the added psi, the tank only fills 2.75 gallons before the system turns off.

  • @rgraz4929
    @rgraz4929Ай бұрын

    UPDATE: I totally removed the tank and my waste water ratio is 1:1. EDIT: Actually 1.3 : 1. (75gpd membrane and booster pump) Yes, the water comes out slow but I don't need a lot at once. Besides, I can store water in glass instead of the system storing it in a metal tank and sit in there if I don't use the system. The pump starts / stops immediately with the turning of the faucet and waste water stops minutes after the faucet is off. My TDS is down to 2ppm after about running 12 oz of water to remove the initial TDS spike. If I was using the tank, that initial TDS spike is diluted in the tank and takes a LOT more faucet water waste to get down to 2ppm.
