    I added a simple push kill button on thecend of the handle on my PWC3000... saves fumbling round trying to find the engine off switch... would be a good improvement.

    Nice to see a version of your winch between the 3000 and 5000 models. Lighter yet powerful, my aching back says merci! Not sure why you've resorted to the "King's English deep fake"? And watching your mouth swivel to the side of your face is creepy and distracting. A tactic I'd expect from a Temu seller, not you guys. If I didn't already trust that you have a quality product, I might have have looked elsewhere. Just my 2 cents.

    I have this model, my biggest thing is that I wish there were different size pulleys to where I could get a little more speed in exchange for pulling power.. also, a issue is that most ropes slip on the capstan drum so you can never get close to the rated capacity before it starts slipping, I found that using 1/4" dyneema winch line allows me to get an extra wrap or 2 around the drum so slippage is eliminated.

    We have a little GX35 on a string trimmer and it has been great for us. The oil gets changed twice a when we’re using it and a quart of oil lasts about 5 months which is a season for us. First use of the year we leave the choke open ignition off and give a few pulls to oil it up before starting. Great little engines that are reliable and sip the fuel!

    Are they remote control also

  • @PortableWinch
    @PortableWinch4 ай бұрын

    No. The principle of a capstan winch requires the user to pull on the rope to pull a load. As the rope is not wound onto a drum, allowing unlimited rope length, they cannot be used with a remote control. The question is whether the idea of unlimited rope length is enough of an advantage in your case to dispense with a remote control.

    How come it csnt use bigger ropes

  • @PortableWinch
    @PortableWinch4 ай бұрын

    The diameter of the rope depends on the width of the drum and the optimum coefficient of friction we want. If you use a rope with a diameter larger than 1/2'' (12 mm), you won't be able to make 4 turns around the drum, so you won't get the maximum friction and you'll have to pull harder on the rope.

    What is it thr maximum strength 💪 of pull..and lifting

  • @PortableWinch
    @PortableWinch4 ай бұрын

    We have different models, so different forces, but as a general rule, we're talking about 2200 lb in a direct line, so 4400 with the use of a pulley to double the force. The use of 2 double pulleys, combined with unlimited rope length, allows you to go up to 5 times the force!

    C'est en effet une bonne option, aussi valide pour tous vos petits moteurs. La consommation en essence de ces moteurs est vraiment moindre et vous allez vous sauver beaucoup de tracas si vous choisissez ce type d'essence. Cela dit, si vous êtes du genre assidu, qui prenez soin de bien vider le réservoir et purger les conduits après utilisation, vous n'aurez pas de souci non plus ! C'est seulement lorsque le treuil est mis de côté pendant un certain temps avec de l'essence qui ça peut être incommodant.

    The problem with Pure fuel in my area is the same fill hose is used for all gasoline fuels. If filling a small portable container the residual ethanol fuel could be dispensed first. As a result there may be mostly ethanol fuel anyway.

    Been using the PCW5000 for several months now. It’s an absolute GAME CHANGER! So thank you for that! My question is, do you have a video for how to clean the rope?!?

  • @PortableWinch
    @PortableWinch9 ай бұрын

    We don't have a video specifically for this. However you can simply rinse it or let it soaked in barrel. Keep in mind that a rope a bit dirty/dusty grabs the capstan better.

    "Did you know when you make a knot at the end of your rope, you lose 30-50% of it's capacity." Proceeds to tie a knot at the end of the rope 💀

  • @PortableWinch
    @PortableWinch Жыл бұрын

    We understand your confusion. We’re sorry we were not clear enough in the video. When you do a typical knot at the end of a rope, the fiber of the rope get squeeze and are not working together anymore. So when the rope break it’s always at the knot and at a lower tension than the rope specification. The special design of the Ropewizer make it so that the rope fiber continues to work together. The special knot we use with it, comes to lean on the flat surface of the RopeWizer and blocks the rope loop. All of our destructive test, show that with the RopeWizer, the rope breaks at the MBS establish by the rope manufacturer up to 25kn. With a typical bowline knot, the rope breaks at about 55-60% of that capacity and always break at the knot. We see a major improvement of the rope performance with the use of the RopeWizer.

Has anyone tried a RopeWizer in a hand tied eye splice yet? If so does it offer any gains?

    Comment savoir quelle poulie pour tirer un conteneur de 8000livres avec un which de 5500lb

  • @PortableWinch
    @PortableWinch Жыл бұрын

    Bonjour, merci pour votre question. Plusieurs facteurs vont déterminer le type de poulie. Si votre treuil utilise du câble d'acier vous aurez besoin d'une poulie pour conçu pour le câble d'acier. Si vous tirez le conteneur au sol, il faudra ajouter la friction au sol au poids de 8000lb, donc je ne serai pas surpris que vous ayez besoin de tripler la force. Considérant un treuil pouvant tirer 5500lb en ligne simple, il faudra une poulie à la charge et une poulie de retour pour ancrer le câble à la charge. Tous comme dans le vidéo lorsque je tire le camion en avantage mécanique de 3:1 En espérant avoir répondu à votre question.
