The Netherlands are proposing to ban Pug breeding as such a large percentage of the breed spend their whole lives suffering. Yes their cute and funny and sit on our laps, but they have a multitude of health issue regardless of the credentials of the breeder. The list of potential breed related ailments is truly shocking. I hope Europe follows suit.

I would like to see a list of good dog food. in the meantime, I buy fresh intestinal meat and cook it for my two dogs. it is heavy ( 400gr per day each, someone has to bring it from the market, and that's me) and stinky when cooked. I just add some cheap vegetable, like 10%. I would love to have a break sometimes, but I don't want them to eat harmful dry food.

Companies that make animal food have cheated and lied to consumers for ages plus Vet industry have not kept up with the feed and treats on offer. Hence they also failed consumers. Our animals have paid the price and many died through being poisoned, which have only now been discovered. The making of animal feed and treats(not all treats are made this way) The use of glycerine in the process is poisonous to dogs and if dogs have died as a result of getting products claiming to be healthy, it is far too late to hold those Companies to account. How can consumers ever trust the industry again, vets inclusive. I thought Vets were suppose to be look after animals welfare. Too late

Soy is not only gmo and have pesticides but is packed with female hormones that is bad with men and also set hormonal imbalance in women as well. No wonder so many of our men act feminine due to the soy in all the processed food. Everybody needs to go back to eating whole foods. Also titanium dioxide I had read about over 10 years ago where the article said that 3 labs, one in Canada, one in USA and one in Europe have proven it to be a carcinogen. Look at what it is all in. It is in food, hygiene products and makeup.

Thank you so much for putting this information on the internet My dog has cancer of the bladder and isn’t expected to live beyond one month to six months. I am wondering if I have caused this through the food I’ve been feeding her. I have been feeding her Purina dog food. I found maggots in two different recently purchased bags. 😟 Pat Goodman

Such BS. My dogs have eaten Pedigree for over 25yrs and I haven't seen one single problem. Only medicine they get is flea/tick chew. Clean water. Brushed a couple of times a week. Lots of exercise. My secret is they are all mixed and not purebred, which seem to have most of the health problems and require the precautions with diet!
