My mum was born in Manse Lane, Greenock. She used to tell me lots of stories about Greenock. She was a young girl in the Greenock blitz and had some vivid memories of it. A river of burning whisky flowing down Ingleston Street was one. Another was watching a ship sink from her school window - St Columbas in Peat Road. Some of the stories were clearly things she had been told (Ingleston st.) rather than actually seen. Great video, mum would have loved this. She died last year and I wish I'd written down all her stories. xx

What a moving tribute. You obviously loved her very much. I'm sorry you lost her so suddenly 💔💐😢 You don't believe it when you're young, but life goes by in a flash.

I passed Watt Place today and there were two abandoned supermarket trolleys against that wall. Luckily I have the trolleywise app that anyone can download from the app store and was able to photograph and report the trolleys. People from that company will come and pick them up in a few days. But there are people in Inverclyde that need to get a grip. Walking from just the Argos end of the oak mall to Delhi Deluxe restaurant past the fire station I actually found and reported six. There was also one dumped in Cathcart Square. And another on Cathcart Street that I actually pushed back over to Morrisons. People need to stop being so inconsiderate selfish and lazy and start caring about were they live and how it looks. It's a sad day when supermarkets actually have to pay people to come and collect these dumped left right and centre. Behaviour really needs to change.

So many memories brought back to me, I'm 53 years old man , and I left greenock when I was 20 years old to see the world and make a life, I cried at this video not because it's a bad video but because I left a place I loved so much , that's something that happens when you fall out with your family, maybe one day I will return. But thankyou for putting up these videos the way I remember it was. E
