Hoenn Route 129 is the ONLY place in Hoenn (at least in RSE) that you can find wild Wailord… by SURFING. Not only that, you can find them as low as Lv. 25, allowing the possibility of a Wailord with better stats. That to me makes it alright. Oh well.

For Olympia speaking in haikus, I feel it's no deeper than a mystical character speaking in poetic language. Do you plan to analyse Elite 4 designs too? A lot of them are barely talked about, especially the ones from the newer games even though they tend to be as interesting as the Gym Leaders.

I have to disagree with Hoenn. I think Route 123 is the worst. It’s not an area you particularly need to go to and it has no Pokémon that are unique to that Route, it’s mainly just Pokémon you’ve already encountered. I know the Berry Master is on that route, but if you approach his house from the Lilycove/Mt.Pyre direction, it’s basically useless imo

I think the Abyssal Ruins just emphasise the Truth vs Ideal motif of the games, and it is there to reveal N’s, and I guess Ghetsis too, royal lineage as descendants of that old king Harmonia of Unova. Very hard to tell if Harmonia was one of the brothers who fought the war that split the original dragon, but that’s as far as I can admit speculation. I’ve seen that it’s popular to claim relation with Gen 6 stuff, but that’s an entirely different timeline with a war that never happened in this one (remember BW and BW2 happen in the non mega timeline; and the mega vs non mega timeline stuff is confirmed by Zinnia in game in ORAS). Impossible this is related to AZ.

I'd like to give an honorable mention to Reflection Cave in Kalos. Out of all the places in X and Y, that is the place I hate the most. It takes me forever to get through with all the random encounters, random pokemon dropping from the ceiling, trainers, and the weird layout. I've played through Kalos several times and always struggle through that cave. At least the Route 13 has Team Flare to break up the arena trap battles.

I think the king referred to in the ruins is the father of the twin princes who went to war and split the original dragon. That's why some of the words can't be translated, Ghesis didn't know the name of the OG dragon. Bonus points for the ruins being from the same time as AZ and the weapon from Kalos. Maybe the king sank the ruins with the most important artefacts and history of Unova to protect them from the Kalos weapon.

Falinks could turn into Falegion. I'm imagining a design similar to the enemy "Legion" from the Castlevania games. The small Falinks could join the Big Falinks as in a Hedgehog or Testudo formation. Could be also similar to the "Army of Sparta" skill from God of War 3. I don't know if it can be a Mega Evo, a Giganta Max or an Evolution.

The aztecs are medival- colonial era man. In fact they still genetically around in modern Mexico also not South America. The maya pre date them only by a few thousand years the Aztec sprang up shortly after the classic period collapse of the maya and both probably would’ve been the dominant cultures/ empires of the Mexico- Central American region today if it wasn’t for Spanish colonialism.

Nahuas migrated into central Mexico after Teotihuacan declined and they might’ve been an important part of the collapse of the empire. However the Aztecs (or Mexica, which is the real name) only settled until like 1300-1400s, and the triple alliance, which was the empire itself, until the mid 1400s.
