Get used to it, bikes are like mosquitos here
Its GTA vice City like ride
LOL it is exactly like riding in a GTA game. There's rules... but there's no rules. ✌
Nice mods, but you got to get a 2 into 1 pipes to complete the mod/look
Welcome to the channel! Was thinking of a 2-1 Bassani with front sweeping headers.. but.. everyone does it. So I'm thinking I'll just keep the slip-ons (for now). Next stop will be the Dyno tune to remove the constant engine fault light. 👹
12:150 driver is understandably confused because he has got motorcyclists passing on the left and the right.
Welcome to Medellin… it’s complete chaos! Never a dull moment 😂❤️
Youre better off buying the same fairing off Ali Express. In either case, you would need to invest in quality bushings for the winshield. The vivid black paint finish and brackets are excellent. The fairing is lighter than HD OEM which is a plus for weight saving however being light, it also shakes a little bit more than the OEM.
Welcome to the channel. I had no idea it was available from Ali Express (surely it’s worse quality?). Yep agree with all you’ve said there 👍🏻
Thank you for sharing the video and your feedbacks. We value all feedbacks and opinions and taking them to make better products. That being said, we will be working to enhance the quality of the bushings =)
You’re welcome and thanks for acknowledging the issue. ✌🏻 Two questions for you guys so we can update the community here: 1. Will you send out higher quality replacement bushings if requested? 2. Have the bushings been updated/improved recently (or have they always been the same)?
Shit china parts what did you think you were buying
my tripper works amazing on my meteor :)
Welcome to the channel and good to know it works. Hmmm I shall try again. Maybe it needed a reset lol!
I bought mine directly from Harley. Their grommets have a metal washer inside of them.
Welcome to the channel. Excellent! Do you have a link? Would be great to post that for the community. Cheers!
@@HillsAndHarleys I can not find a link , I had to directly order from My Harley dealer.
The Meteor is my first bike, after I got the (bike)-driving licence at the age of 65 😊 just two years ago. So my bike experience is limited. However, I am very happy with it and don't mind longer trips. But I agree, it's hopeless on motorways. Especially here in Germany without speedlimits it can be downright frightning.
Welcome to the channel and congrats on starting your riding journey at 65! Sounds great. There are comments here that also confirm it's good to go for camping trips etc. Those highways in Germany though with this bike are a HELL NO lol. I shall be doing a video on the Royal Enfield Himalayan next week. Stay tuned!
My problem is the plastic is chip I broke the bracket just lossing it up
Welcome to the channel! Did you get a replacement part and fix the issue?
I like the street glide looks much better but probably go with the road glide for the handle bars. Don't want to spend 2 grand upgrading the bars on a new bike.
Hey Matt, welcome to the channel. Totally agree, the bar position is much better and imo it's good to go out of the box!
I agree the fairing is awesome! My bushings were shit too and cracked all over.
Yeah, they suck. Did you get replacements? If you contact them, they will replace them apparently.
My Advanblack ST fairing didnt come with any bushings for the windshield. I had to buy them from amazon cause i didnt want to wait for them to send them. The bigger problem that i have is a constant squeaking while riding from the inner and outer fairing pieces rubbing together. Soooo annoying
Hey Thomas, that sucks that they didn't even include the bushings WTF. The new bushings I had made are hard plastic and they are also now breaking lol. I'm going to contact Advanblack and see if they'll send me replacements. Stay tuned.
Looks good! Those saddlebags are nice!
Thanks hermano and welcome to the channel! Those are Viking quick detach bags and yes, they are great. I'll be doing a review video on them in the next couple weeks. Stay tuned!
I just found your channel, great content! Waiting for new videos on Royal Enfield bikes. Greetings from Bogotá 👍
Gracias Julián! Welcome to the channel! There will be more videos on Royal Enfield for sure hermano 🤘🏻
I own a 2022 meteor 350 and as you said i love it as a daily rider. I do use it for small camping trips (within 300 ish miles). I will say you are 100% right about any interstate the bike will not do well. Especially since the interstate near me is 80 mph. So i ride secondary roads 55-65 mph. Even at 65 mph roads you start feeling exposed. Ive had no isses with mine so far. And enjoy camping so far especially when i have to go on gravel or dirt no issue there.
Hi Patrick, welcome to the channel and thanks for the comment. Yes, I’ve seen some real bad accidents from people trying to overtake on highways with not enough power… so it’s definitely a no go for that. When camping, how do you load it up… Saddlebags and luggage rack etc? Does the luggage weight have a significant effect on power?
@@HillsAndHarleys good afternoon it's a pleasure to find this channel! Soft saddle bags (80 L total) 10 L tank bag. My meteor came with a backrest on the pillion seat. So, I attached my tent, 35 L dry pack, and wear my day pack (40 L) on my back. So in total that's 165 L of storage. I can actually have more storage but since I'm used to backpacking, I pack on the light side. I haven't noticed a difference in handling either. I didnt notice any issues with power after the break in period. Also most of my equipment is pretty light for backpacking reasons and I mostly ride at 55 mph.
Sounds like the bike is very capable! I shall have to try it for trips like that. Next week I'll be filming on the Royal Enfield Himalayan. Will be interesting to see how different it is to the Meteor. Stay tuned!
Be good if we could see it..
Sure! Click on the full video episode to see the original bushings and the new sturdier ones I had made up 🤘🏻
That's a life or death situation. I'm not interested in their products if that's their quality control. They're out as far as I'm concerned.
Totally agree Stuart. Had I not noticed the broken bushings, who knows what might have happened. Apparently Advanblack will replace the bushings free of charge but might be too late at that point lol 💀
That's could be deadly. Thank you for letting us know. That's unforgivable to me. You did a great video here.
@@stuartberke5845 Thanks Stuart appreciate the comment brother 🤘🏻
Same thing happened to me. They sent me a new set of bushings. As impossible as it sounds, you have to install them from behind. It looks impossible, but they do go through. Now, all of my bushings are installed without the cracks on the back side.
Great to hear it's not just me then ha! They do have great customer service. They sent me a smoke windscreen free of charge. Are the new bushings made of a different material? Do they seem to be holding up well? How long have the had them on? Interested to know! ✌
@@HillsAndHarleys They updated the bushings, the same as Harley Davidson
@@leli-sy1ds Excellent! Great to know. Thanks for dropping the comment 👍🏻
FYI - I've now added links in the video description for every part used in the build. No affiliate links... pure community! 🤘
Meteor 350 is "upgraded" version of thunderbird 350x which was discontinued and relaunched as meteor 350 but in terms of performance it is no where near to thunderbird. I had a ride on thunderbird and it was probably one of the most comfortable experience. I kinda feels gay when I see people comsodering over classic 350 and Bullet 350 cuz meteor is like $500 to more than classic and $1000 more than bullet I am from India and stuff like purpose, and status you get from the bike is maybe different from your country but meteor dont actually give that much in my opinion. Love your videos dude, looking for some affordable but golden things like classic or bullet ❤
Don't say I ain't reading all that😊
Thanks for the comment man it cracked me up! 🤣 I didn't know about the thunderbird 350... just looked at it and yeah, it looks like the Meteor 350 but actually a bit nicer...? Yes, there's lot's of people who buy bikes (typically HD) for status etc as you've said, but for me, I couldn't care less about that stufff... I just love bikes for what they are! Let us know which bike you get and what you think of it 🤘
@@vedant8420 😂
No way ... Old thunderbird felt like riding vibrator
Nice build! Bike looks great. I’m getting ready to install the 9.5 inch Thrashin riser as well on my ST. Saludos Colombia!
Gracias Andres! You will love the risers... I get compliments on them all the time! 🤘
I recommend not to purchase I traded my 18 CVO Streetglide for a 24 CVO Streetglide and I hate the 24 The aerodynamics are garbage and make long miles unenjoyable. Stock windshield is huge buffeting so your comment on less I call BS That’s why you can not hear the stereo from the way the air comes over the ferring Go out to your vehicle and cut a 1” strip of glass out of it and drive around Too much wind being put on the rider Harley did not put this in the wind tunnel As for lighter you now have to go in to HD dealer and get a 25lb ballast added to the triple tree Still has a clutch cable, I wonder when we’re getting kick starts HD went backwards not forwards
Thanks for the comment. Interesting points. I only got up to 80mph but at that speed I didn’t get much head buffeting at all. How tall are you? Have you tried a taller windscreen for the 24 model like the Klock Werks Flare windshield? I have heard of some vision distortion with the curved screen but could be a solution: getklocked.com/products/flare-harley-davidson-2014-2024-flh
I’m only 5’7” so the stock one should’ve been suffice but it wasn’t. Going over 40-70mph or 80-120kmh my modular visor wouldn’t stay up, it’d slam shut the moment I let go. I tried adjusting the vent to balance the air but no luck I put the 8.5” harley windshield on and adjusted that vent and greatly decreased the buffeting But there is still a lot of air around the rider from the neck down Great if you live south of Colorado and want a nice breeze in 80F and above But remember where air goes, so do bugs, debris, rocks, and water
@@GMAN0444 At 80mph I had no issues with head buffeting but the wind was coming in from the sides for sure. And true, it's more suitable to nice weather lol! Hope you find a solution brother!✌
Thanks, safe travels this summer for ya I hope KlockWerks comes out with a windshield for it soon
MotorMan prefers a clutch cable. Much better
I think this 117 has a different cam in it also liquid cooled heads..
Thanks Kevin. Oddly enough, there's not much info about this online!
Looks awesome 👍
Thanks! Appreciate the comment ✌🏻
Looks good! What crash bar is that?
@@johntorres214 Thanks John! The crash bar is from Amazon. It's a PITA to get on but it does the job and is half the price of the HD one. I've now added links in the episode description for every part used in this build. Hope that helps.
