  I love it. I was literally 2-7 years old watching the original Woolery NBC shows at times, this theme with the bongo drums. It always puts a smile on my face every time I hear it because nothing comes close to it.

  Ooooo, very good mockup. A quick fun fact actually! The EBS had 2 different scripts for an Emergency Action Notification: EAN message #1 ‘the white card’, and EAN message #2, the red card. This mock-up is what a white card message would look and sound like; a general declaration of a national emergency. The red card, however, was more specific, and way more serious; an attack warning message. It includes a preceding civil defense message that an attack on US soil is incoming. The link below is the full red card script: images.wikia.com/fallout/images/7/70/EBSRedCards.pdf I’ve seen authentic, unused white card messages from different news stations uploaded on KZread, but never a red card. At least not a TV version of one. It would be cool to find one or else see a solid recreation. Scary but fascinating stuff.

  That was true prior to the mid-1970s, but after the 1971 false alarm, the FCC overhauled the EBS. The Red Card announcement was eliminated, and the White Card became the only EAN message.
