    Yes I agree, I also had parts from them in my previous vstroms. I have already made 3 trips, 1000Kms each but it was mostly highways and the temperature 39 degrees so it was not helping much hahaha. I will keep that in mind though and plan something. Thanks for your comment.

    Thank you for a very detailed video. I want to add a skid-plate to my '24 Vstrom 800 (US version of the SE), but was told I had to buy both upper and lower engine guards in order to install the OEM skid plate. I was told that the lower guard mounts up to the upper guard, so both were necessary, but your video proves that is not true. I don't need the upper ones, so now I can just purchase the lower mount, and maybe a more affordable aftermarket skid plate will be available soon.

    καλησπέρα ωραίο το βίντεο. αλλά συγκεκριμένα suzuki πήρες μην κάνεις παράπονα που δεν είναι στο στάνταρ εξοπλισμό αφού και από το προηγούμενο μοντέλο που είχες ακόμη και το διπλό σταντ δεν ήταν στο στάνταρ εξοπλισμό! καμιά φορά συλλογίζομαι από τα μηχανάκια που είχα στην κατοχή μου και τα χρήματα που είχα δαπανήσει για διάφορα extra και περιφερειακά θα είχα αγοράσει άλλο ένα μηχανάκι........

    Εΰχαριστω, αλλα το συγκεκριμενο αξεσουαρ ειναι στανταρντ στο μοντελο DE ομως οχι στο RE. Ακομα και ο ιδιος ο αντιπροσωπος εκανε παραπονα και ειπε οτι ειναι χαζομαρα της Suzuki και ειναι αρκετα ακριβο. Αν το λεει λοιπον ο ιδιος ο αντιπροσωπος...Το suzuki επισης ειναι φοβερη μηχανη και εαν θελεις λεπτομερεειες οι Ιαπωνικες μοτοσυκλετες για να πουλησουν Ευρωπη εχουν αυξημενους φορους σε σχεση με ευρωπαικες μοτο οποτε και απο καπου [πρεπει να κοψουν. Οπως και να εχει απο αποψη μαρκετινγκ ειναι χαζομαρα γιατι εαν ηταν στανταρντ ο κατοχος θα αγοραζε και ποδια και καγκελα. Τωρα εχει εξτρα ενα εξοδο 300 ευρω. Δεν μιλησε κανενας για κεντρικο σταντ που παλι στο μεγαλο vstrom ειναι στανταρντ.

    Nicely installed. These parts, for what they are, are expensive. The upper and lower bars are about £750.

    I'm going to have to adjust my chain for the very first time ever on my 650. Thank you for the detailed explanation and nice and slow so it was easier to follow. First I need to buy a torque wrench though 👍

    I ve seen torque wrenches and people manage to exceed the intended values. It's not mandatory, just gives more confidence to people who seek for it.

    Κανενα προβλημα φθλε μου. Το ντεποζιτο παντως γραντζουνιεται ευκολα και στα βενζιναδικα συμβαινουν και ατυχηματα με την βενζινη που ριχνουν εξω.

    @@DrVstrom σε αυτό το κομμάτι τον γρατζουνιών χεις δικιο αλλά γεμίζοντας με sticker το ντεπόζιτο δεν σημαίνει ότι θα γλιτώσεις και πολλά αφού ούτως κι άλλως μένουν κάποια κομμάτια εκτεθειμένα. εγώ εδώ και 30 χρόνια στα μηχανάκια που έχουν περάσει από την κατοχή μου βάζω ένα μπάξτερ δερμάτινο της γνωστής εταιρείας. φυσικά όλα είναι θέμα γούστου το τι αρέσει στον καθένανε εγώ πάω με την πρακτικότητα

    I do not regret because the 800 is a balanced option between the 650 and the 1050. It has enough power and great fuel and maintenance economy. It has great road behavior, brakes, suspension, technology and is much cheaper than the 1050. Its not perfect, but pretty good.

    Εγώ προέρχομαι από CB500X του 2015, στην οποία ποτέ δεν κατάλαβα καμιά ζέστη δεξιά/αριστέρα. Τώρα με το v-strom 800 (έχω την street έκδοση, 2-3 μήνες περίπου) είναι το μόνο που με ενοχλεί ... βασικά με ενοχλούσε, πλέον το έχω συνηθήσει / αποδεχθεί ότι υπάρχει μια σχετική ζέστη δεξιά. Κατά τα αλλα είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένος με την μηχανή ... αν θα ήθελα να βρω ενα αρνητικό πάνω της, νομίζω ότι δεν ειναι αυτό το θέμα με την ζέστη, αλλά το θέμα με τα φώτα το βράδυ ... το "pattern" που εμφανίζεται στο δρόμο, όταν δεν υπάρχει άλλος φωτισμός είναι πολύ μικρό .. σε σημείο IMHO να είναι επικύνδινο ... περιμένω (απο Ali) spotlights να του βάλω να τελειώνουμε ;-)

    I bought a 23 v-Strom 650, as i liked your videos about it. It never gets hot in any way and the fan never kicks on.

    Yes but the engine is smaller capacity and the euro requirements (although euro 5) slightly different. Its not a problem actually. Thanks for your comment.

What do you notice in this paragraph of yours? Its mostly, "do this", "do that", "you are this", "you are that". If you paid me for a service then yes you could give me feedback in this way. The way you did it is too much for someone who for 12 years does this out of good will with nothing in return. Maybe you did not understand. This channel tries to help. To do so it must try to cover all audiences and the ones that need the most info are the ones who need step by step instructions and yes, this sometimes is long. If I would follow your advice, someone else would come and say the opposite. "Hey Doc why you dont put some more detail?" You see where I am going? Only in this 2nd case people would also loose vital info because they are not so technical as others. Do you also know how much time it takes for one video? You are free to have a personal opinion as well as to not watch. I am not going to change this style so if it is something which is a show stopper please look elsewhere for better content. It is so simple.

    On my 650 I had a givi maxia 4 because it has space for 2 full face helmets or groceries and it is very stable plus looks nice

    Well-executed study! I’ve felt high temps even at motorway speeds and if it weren’t for my boots(Alpinestars Andes V2; highly recommended) I’d worry a bit about the potential for indirect burns to occur; I think this is a ticking legal bomb for Suzuki if they don’t figure out a solution. Must love Euro 5, though!

    Is the factory power blocked for the new V Strom 650 with a sticker on the frame saying 35kw? the seller says it isn't, but I don't believe him. How can I check how many KW the engine has? Thanks

    Hello! It's exactly the same thing on my 3 years old Yamaha Tracer 9. The engine temperature rises over 100°C when riding slow and fan kicks in. It's such a petty for this new motorcycles because high temperature is very bag for the life of the engine. Thank you for your instructional video.

    All these new Euro 5 motorcycles are running lean (a mixture of more air intake on certain rpm) in order to comply with the all those standards that are supposed to save the planet... Ha,ha! More air means more Oxygen which translate into a greater explosion on the engine. Hence the higher temperatures of the engine. I really don't understand why those qualified engineers set the fan to kick in at about 100-105°C instead of, let's say, 90-95°C. Because of the higher temperatures, the engine parts are part of the greater stress due to extreme expansions (dilatations) and that translates into a lower lifespan of an engine. Most of us prefer a second hand car with a 200000 km on board (taken on highways) instead of an 100000 km car done on heavy tragic ( on city).

    @@danapintilioaiei6587 Those 100-105 degrees is not your engine temperature, that's the water temperature. Oil temperature would be a far more accurate parameter. Water temperature doesn't say much at all, because it's highly dampened, while the engine temperature is volatile.

    I had the Vstrom for a test, the outside temperature was 30 and I also noticed that it gets warm, but it heats up very much during strong acceleration and fast driving, I had to spread my legs because it was hot, after an hour of intense driving I was tired because all the heat goes up. I came to the dealer on a different bike and there was no problem. Please comment on my experiences and do a test with dynamic driving.

    So you mean that you switched for another 800 on the way back and there was no problem? For dynamic riding and high acceleration I have already done this and as long as you are moving fast, there is no issue at all. Thanks for sharing your comment.     @@DrVstrom I came on a Honda and I tested the Suzuki, driving like you show on film is not a problem, try it dynamically, starting quickly from the lights, driving at 140, etc., maybe your Suzuki has a not run-in engine and you can't, I tested the Suzuki after running in and above 1.5 thousand km and I could drive dynamically, there is a problem and it discouraged me from buying it, I would like to be wrong

    Ενδιαφέρον βίντεο, Ο καταλύτης βρίσκεται εξολοκλήρου στο τελικό της εξάτμισης? Αν αντικατασταθεί το τελικό της εξάτμισης και μόνο χρειάζεται επαναπρογραματισμος? Θα ήθελα να αλλάξω το τελικό της εξάτμισης για αισθητικούς λόγους κυριως και δευτερευόντως για μείωση του βάρους. Αλλά δεν θα ήθελα να μπλέξω με προγράμματα κλπ. Δεν με ενδιαφερουν οι επιδόσεις αλλά η αποδοτική/οικονομική λειτουργία του κινητήρα. Τωρα αν με αυτό μειώνεται και η θερμοκρασία είναι κάτι καλοδεχουμενο.

    Πολυ σωστη σκεψη. Ναι ο καταλυτης βρισκεται εκει. Επισης σωστο το να μην μπλεξεις με προγραμματα. Θα το κοιταξω και θα σου πω μιας που ακομα στην δικια μου δεν εχω παρεμβει αφου ειναι καινουργια. Πάντως το πιο πιθανό είναι να χρειάζεται.

    Ok for this test. I rode the 800de a few times from the dealer in Sofia. Mainly city rides and it is higher in temperature. The fan does it's job efficiently and you can notice it by the dash and the feeling on the right leg. Maybe the higher temp. Is because of the different compresion ratio,compared to the 650 wee. But hey it is a brand new engine and it is different. Maybe someone with GSX 8S /R can share more info on that heat topic? Ride safe!

    Κι όμως λόγω euro 5 regulations αυτά είναι από τα πρώτα που θα σταματήσουν σύντομα. Γενικά δεν υπάρχει πρόβλημα με το 800.

    Αλλο ενα πολυ ωραίο και με πολύ πληροφορια βίντεο. Δυο σχόλια: 1) αν μπει after market ολόκληρη εξάτμιση, δλδ αν καταργηθεί ο καταλύτης, οι θερμοκρασίες του κινητήρα θα μειωθούν. Αν και πλεον δεν εχω vstrom και η μοτοσικλέτα μου δεν με ενοχλεί με τις θερμοκρασίες που ανεβάζει όπως με ενόχλησε το VStrom οταν το οδηγησα -και ηταν ισως το μονο παράπονο που είχα από αυτή την εξαιρετική μοτοσικλέτα-, σκεφτομαι σοβαρά την αντικατάσταση της εξάτμισης. Η κατάργηση του καταλύτη έχει ομως το όποιο περιβαλλοντικό αποτύπωμα δυστυχώς! 2) διαφωνώ στο οτι η μοτοσικλέτα πρέπει να τσουλάει με νεκρά στην κατηφόρα με ρελαντί. Ειναι σαφώς προτιμότερο να έχει μια άνετη σχεση στο κιβώτιο κατά την διάρκεια της κατηφόρας που να της επιτρέπει να κυλάει με μια σχετική ταχύτητα. Η κυκλοφορία του λαδιού και του ψυκτικού υγρού γίνεται σαφώς καλύτερα με αυτόν τον τρόπο συν το ότι να κυλάει με engine brake συμβάλλει και στην ψύξη αλλά και στο πιο σωστό φρενάρισμα αν χρειαστεί.

    Σε ευχαριστω για τα σχολια. Θεωρω οτι το προβλημα θα μειωθει μολις συμπληρωθουν και αλλα χιλιομετρα και στρωθει ο κινητηρας. Σχετικα με το engine breaking, θα συμβάλει ακομα περισσοτερο σε ανοδο θερμοκρασίας, μιας και η κινητικη ενεργεια μετατρεπεται σε θερμοτητα. Επισης αν ησουν κατοχος vstrom και παρατηρησες λαδι στο φιλτροκουτι, ηταν και απο αυτην την ενεργεια. Γενικα ειναι προτιμοτερο να την αφησεις να τσουλα για μικρες ασφαλεις αποστασεις παρα να την περιοριζεις και να εμπλεκεις πολλα κινούμενα μερη. Ευχαριστω και παλι για το σχολιο, ride safe.

    @@DrVstrom τα κινούμενα μέρη δεν σταματάνε να κινούνται είτε έχεις είτε δεν έχεις σχέση στο σασμάν. Η τρόμπα του λαδιού και του νερού όμως κινούνται πολύ πιο αργά παρά το ότι η μοτοσικλέτα κινήται με συγκεκριμένη ταχύτητα. Επίσης το λάδι στο φιλτροκούτι δεν νομίζω πως μπορείς να το αποφύγεις. Αναθυμιάσεις θα υπάρξουν πάντα... Προσωπικά δεν αφήνω ποτέ την μοτοσικλέτα να κυλάει χωρίς σχέση στο κιβώτιο. Αντεύχομαι όμορφα και ασφαλή χιλιόμετρα!

    Τα κινουμενα μερη ομως με engine breaking οπως ανεφερες εχουν αρκετα διαφορετικο (μεγαλυτερο) φορτιο που οπως ειπα μεταφραζεται σε αυξημενη θερμοκρασια που ηδη υπαρχει εκεινη τη στιγμη. Σαν αποτελεσμα παρολο που η αντλια λειτουργει πιο αργα σε ρελαντι, το engine breaking δεν ειναι δα και στο επιπεδο του ανοιγματος γκαζιου γιατι μην ξεχνας μονο στην αρχη υπαρχουν οι πολλες στροφές που θα απορροφηθουν και μετα θα πεσουν πιο χαμηλα. Εκτος και εαν εχεις βρει την τεραστια κατηφορα που θα πηγαινεις διαρκως ετσι :). Αυτο δεν κανει τεραστια διαφορα στην περιστροφη της αντλιας αλλα στο μικρο διαστημα που φρεναρεις και με τον κινητηρα κανει μεγαλη διαφορα στην θερμοκρασια. Με λίγα λογια στο μικρο διαστημα που ρολαρεις με ρελαντι, θεωρω οτι το οφελος στην θερμοκρασια ειναι πολυ μεγαλυτερο απο το να φρεναρεις με τον κινητηρα. Συγκεκριμενα θα σου πω οτι καταρχην με νεκρα το οχημα αυξανει ταχυτητα και το μικρο αυτο χρονικο διαστημα η θερμοτητα φευγει γρηγοροτερα βοηθωντας την κυκλοφορια της ζεστης (το ζεστο παει στο κρυο σε ενα κλειστο κυκλωμα υπο πίεση). Τελος στο βιντεο η θερμοκρασια στο ποδι αυξηθηκε κατα πολυ οταν ρολαρα και βοηθησε να πεσει πιο γρηγορα. Ευχαριστω πολυ που συμμετεχεις στην κουβεντα την οποια χαιρομαι πολυ που την κανουμε.
