Sorry about the tent, that bird made a mess for sure. The talking makes much more impact than the silent approach, in my view. Regardless, great you're out riding and making these vids. The Triumph looks great, will you go with a more offroad tyre in time? I have the stock Pirelli STRs on my 890 Adv, terrible on the dirt and not great on tar seal, but the cost of motorcycle tyres being what it is, they'll be changed when they are completely worn out. Ride safe, cheers.

Good to know the commentary makes a difference, I think I will do more similar videos as for me it's more engaging with the viewer. Tent all cleaned up now, gave it a proper clean, looks new 😎 Yep, I will be swapping the stock tyres for more adventurous ones when these have worn down a little more. I have a 25 litre Acerbis on my DR650, and while I was on a trail ride, I dropped my bike on its right hand side. The right fuel lobe on the tank flexed in so much it crushed my oil cooler. I'm hoping your mod will solve this issue from happening to me again. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the memories mate. The family of my life long friend owned property on the Rocky River and I have great memories of my TS250 Suzuki Savage and riding there and camping from Tenterfield. That lookout at the back or Mount Lindsay was my old rabbit shooting territory back in the very early 70s along with the mechanic in Rouse Street Tenterfield (Col Mann). Again great memories, thank you.

Great content! I came over after watching your review on that beautiful looking and sounding DR , very impressed with peaceful approach to this video - great footage! I love those noodles when I go solo camping however I haven’t tried them for breakfast 😂 I regularly go solo camping or hiking and my tarp and hammock or groundsheet with top quilt or moto camping with my CRF250L but lately I’ve been considering selling and purchasing the DR as I’m hooked on what I have seen so far. Keep up the great content as I’ve subscribed for more.

Oh my god, you should never use a windbreaker like that. The gas can could explode from the radiant heat. There needs to be more distance.

Nice tarp and swag setup, mate. When I was doing overnight hiking in Kosciuszko years back, I had some bad experiences with Back Country dry foods in terms of taste. 😅 I ended up relying on my energy bars and leaving the Back Country meals in alpine huts for future hikers to use in emergencies. They definitely could have made it taste better. Personally, I find that instant noodles, dried seaweed and mushrooms, and beef jerky are a good combination for better and more nutritious lightweight meals.

Thanks mate. Hmmmm, there is a steep section just before you get to the site, not crazy steep but possibly too much for a cruiser as the surface is loose in places. I was contemplating another night there on my Triumph and wondering the same thing as that still has road tyres on. Sorry I can't give you a definite answer. ATB Jason 👍

Hey brother I had a question about a video on biker bytes channel. I wanted to comment but they are disabled. In the video titled exhaust and Carby mod test ride, at the 5:46 mark when you’re coming to a stop I hear a metal clanking noise almost like a chain or some coins clanking around. My bike does this too, is this normal for the DR? I’d appreciate the feedback. Thanks !

Nice video! I remember the mountains, they are glasshouse mountains! I also had some fun on the dirt roads in that state forest. I lived in Ipswich for some time before I retreated to Canberra because of the heat. I have good memories there, the mountains, the beaches...

@@lanbolyra Thanks mate, it was a very hot sticky night, I dont think the hammock was the best choice lol. GHM is a great place to camp and plenty of spots if you know where to look. Personally, I prefer the heat than the cold so Brisbane suits me :) No I havent received a copyright claim for the movie clip. i did try to keep it as short as possible to keep within the fair use policy. I did the factory pro carb kit from procycle because it doesn’t require the airbox mod. Runs great at 700-800 feet above sea level. Haven’t gone far enough from home to see how it works at different elevations. I installed the procycle header and DG RST muffler the combination runs great

That good to hear mate. I'm surprised you didn't need to do the air box mod, it was part of the instructions and also recommended if you have an aftermarket exhaust 🤔 But if it's working for you that's what counts. Nice video! I remember the mountains, they are glasshouse mountains! I also had some fun on the dirt roads in that state forest. I lived in Ipswich for some time before I retreated to Canberra because of the heat. I have good memories there, the mountains, the beaches...
Also, just curious, did you receive a copyright claim regarding the movie part? I think the rules are not quite clear about "fair use". I also love that movie, "beautiful things don't look for attention".
@@lanbolyra Thanks mate, it was a very hot sticky night, I dont think the hammock was the best choice lol. GHM is a great place to camp and plenty of spots if you know where to look. Personally, I prefer the heat than the cold so Brisbane suits me :) No I havent received a copyright claim for the movie clip. i did try to keep it as short as possible to keep within the fair use policy. I did the factory pro carb kit from procycle because it doesn’t require the airbox mod. Runs great at 700-800 feet above sea level. Haven’t gone far enough from home to see how it works at different elevations. I installed the procycle header and DG RST muffler the combination runs great
That good to hear mate. I'm surprised you didn't need to do the air box mod, it was part of the instructions and also recommended if you have an aftermarket exhaust 🤔 But if it's working for you that's what counts. It's about 5 litres per 100km

I really like it. Small and lightweight although I would prefer a side opening tent just so I can stretch out and have an unobstructed view out.
