We have had 3 Bosch dishwashers over the past three decades. They are wonderful machines; each one seems to have been more technologically advanced, however, each successive one has been more cheaply made. For example, the utensil baskets have shrunk in size, so that in the new SHP78CM2N (800 series) that we just purchased, the basket is half the size and weight of our previous dishwasher. (Of course, Bosch is happy to sell you the old basket for $29.) IMO the top reasons for buying this 800 model are its 1) QUIET OPERATION 2) Excellent cleaning 3) Crystal Dry technology and 3) its reliability. It has a third rack, which is nice; except the idea is that you should place your utensils in it individually within little plastic dividers. Who has time for that? There are also easily moveable middle and bottom racks. Some people may find the "Home Connect" app appealing, but I would rather not have to use my phone to operate my dishwasher. Finally: be aware that the print and the online manual do NOT deal with two of the most fundamental questions you will have: 1) How do I know when the machine is done washing? (Answer: there will NOT be a little red light on the floor; instead, there is a white LED light inside the handle that will turn off. ) 2) Is it OK to open the door and add an item that you forgot, once the machine is washing? (Answer: apparently so.) Wouldn't you think Bosch would mention this information somewhere obvious, and not bury it in a response to an online question, or leave it to be deduced from other instructions?

This guys application isnt the worst but he's definitely not doing it correctly, you gotta get your feet dirty ton get the best results! To do the best job you stand IN the sealcoat, working your way forward up the edges and spreading it out back and forth, bushing out your footprints behind you in passes as you go. Why does this matter? Well, first it looks wayyy better as a finished product, but more importantly, when your sealcoat starts to wear off, you are going to see all of those weird, stop- start lines. They'll be darker and really stand out and it looks terrible. I'm curious why you went with a handyman using home depot products instead of a reputable sealcoating company that uses quality sealant such as Tarconite? I imagine cost is a factor, but there are SO many "gypsies", as their known in the community, who mix things like old motor oil into the buckets to stretch the material. One crappy sealcoat job is all it takes, it can't be reversed! A customer of ours had someone sealcoat her driveway, he left such thick ridges everywhere that her whole driveway is like driving over a rumble strip, and there's not much you can do to fix that. I'm not saying there aren't great individuals who can sealcoat, and I've seen many questionable "professionals" too. I'm just saying you absolutely need to be careful who you hire and do your research on the products they use and ask about the process beforehand. Watch for red flags, they should always weedwhack or "edge" the driveway first, then sweep it down with a metal broom and blow the entire thing off. Any moss should be removed, any oil stains with need a special primer because sealcoat won't stick there and itll eventually flake off. Cracks should be cleaned and filled with a flexible product like melted rubber topped with black beauty so the sealcoat sticks to it. Driveway "paste" won't expand and contract with the cracks and will crack and look terrible in no time. If they bring buckets of sealant in the bed of a truck, demand they be new, unopened ones and make sure they open them in front of you. If they use a squeegee, find someone else. A bristle sealcoat brush is the way to go, anyone who knows what they're doing will use one. Make sure they work side to side down the driveway, not vertically 😂. Also, any decent company will have at least a one year guarantee if the product fails.
