A few ideas: Lawnmowers use so little oil, I don't mind using a couple ounces of relatively expensive full synthetic each spring on mine (currently using Mobil 1 0W-30 ESP, shared with my truck engine and my wife's diesel). I'd just use that 10W-30 petroleum oil as fuel for the diesel engine. Also, I'd love to see how the diesel engine runs on a mix of that two-stroke oil and stale gasoline. The only real reason a diesel engine doesn't run well on gasoline is because gasoline doesn't lubricate the high pressure fuel pump effectively. The two-stroke oil is formulated for exactly that purpose (making gasoline lubricate the bearings in a two-stroke engine).
@TACOMASRT529 күн бұрын

Greetings from Germany, I have a similar Diesel generator at home. My advice, thin the oil with 10% gas to thin it. I have build a T fuel switch so I can start and shut down with diesel, and run on black diesel w90. Works awesome. I have successfully used waste oil engine/auto transmission and vegtable oils. Never mix them they can gel up. Up to 2% of acetone can help keep the injectors clean. But essential is a clean/well cleaned oil. I use a pressure driven centrifuge for it.
@TACOMASRT5Ай бұрын
I run the oil through bucket top filters. 600/ 400/ 200/ 100/ 75/ 55 microns. Then through sock filters 25, 10, 5, 1, then finally 1/2 micron filters. I've got a 55 gallon drum of oil with 5 gallons of gasoline and 5 gallons of diesel added. I was planning on using the OEM tank to start on diesel, then once warmed up, switch to the motorcycle fuel tank which will have waste oil in it, I also plan on having a water fuel separator on board. Didn't really smell like anything. Edit... Becides exhaust.
So my question is, I had a 2004 crown Vic which I originally bought 2 bushings for. It had a weird black tab/stud sticking out, and I was told it had to be pressed/ couldn’t be pressed and had to do the whole arm. I did that. Fast forward, have a 2003 grand marquis now which deff has a stud/bolt. I have the k80834 and k80833 bushings from moog. It’s the same size on both sides but it shows on tbe website this is the correct one. Any idea wtf? Lol
I have no clue. I'm sorry I can be of more help. I will be removing the aluminum lower and cast upper control arms and going with crown Victoria lowers which I am going to cut and extend. I will be making custom upper arms.
What engine is it?
186FA
Perfect combination for an outdoor power tool!
It sure is! You could put this engine on a tractor or mower of some sort AND keep the bugs away lol
@@TACOMASRT5 Not sure of the cost of this stuff, but I would be willing to put a percentage into my old tractors tank if I got less bites while mowing.
Go to your local household hazardous waste facility. Some people just want stuff out of their garage, others move, and this type of stuff isn't allowed on a moving truck.
Also if you are useing the old clips get new ones
Thank you!
Try a heat gun all around area press and hold as it cools
I'll give it a try thanks.
You don't know how to turn your phone sideways to get a full picture?
I'm not a tech guy. If I turn my phone sideways it records and posts sideways.
OR☝️ IN OTHER WORDS BACK UP A BIT SO WE CAN SEE THA SHOW
Sorry man I don't know much about editing and I can't zoom out any further with my phone. I really do honestly appreciate the feedback I will try and get my kids more involved in holding the camera lol
WHY DIDN'T U JUST PUT THA CAMERA INSIDE THE BLOWER HOUSING WE COULD LIKLEY HAVE SEEN A LOT MORE
The combustion cleaned up nicely too
Yes I have learned that it tends to smoke more when it's cold.
I'm a big diesel fan. I worked on some really cool big diesel engines. I was on a carrier, we had 3 locomotive engines for emergency generators. Plus all of our small boats were diesel. The EPA has destroyed the diesel engine.
That's awesome!!!! This is my first diesel lol please consider subscribing and following along as I move forward with testing and the motorcycle build
I would probably run it without the filter. It's a clean oil. Just for a test. Cool test. Lol
I'm also curious what engine you're using. I've seen these little diesel engines, I haven't shopped for one.
186F diesel. 10HP 20ftlb torque, had to bolt it to my tool box cause the first time I cracked the throttle it tipped over 😂
@TACOMASRT5 I get it, that's just something cool to play with. I might buy one now, I've been wanting to. I'll bet it will run on almost anything. Lol
@@dougwhite2897thats the goal! I'll be running 2 fuel tanks. The stock one attached to the engine filled with diesel to start and warm up. Then once she's hott switch over to the home made fuel.
@@TACOMASRT5 Can't wait until you do something cool with it.
Just look up 186F. It's 10 hp 20ftlb torque
