I've been trying to remove the old fender. Do I need to remove the chain guard first?

Can i use longer than 10mm? Or can i still use the bolt that came with the foot peg?

You can. But if you use longer one's or the foot peg bolts you will have thread on show and the bolt head sticking out.

Can i add a washer together with the oem bolts? Having a hard time looking for an M8x10. Only available is M8x12 and M8x16. Btw, thanks for sharing a video about this. It’s going to save me alot. Footpeg blanking plate is a little expensive.

@@mrk02mrk I thought the foot peg blanking plates where over priced too. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291976609965 - Here's where I bought them from.

Looks great! Got any pictures from behind and perpendicular to the side of the bike? A video around the bike would be nice to see!

I wonder if the fz6 stock hugger would fit our bikes? they go for around 30-80 us dollars used

Looking at pictures a FZ6 looks like a Fazer over here, which seems completely different with an integrated chain guard.

Where did you get that one? I have been looking for one for a few years now and I cant bring myself to pay over $100 for one, lol. How much did you pay for yours? I have a FZ6R and I am hoping that the xj6 huggers will fit because I am finding them cheaper even though I believe they are the same. Do you know if it would work on a FZ6R ? Everything you were doing in the video looks exactly the same as my FZ6R. I thought the fz6 one might work but they wont( its a totally different bike) But the xj I think is the closest thing to a fz6r that I know of. BTW, it looks very good on your XJ!

Thanks!! It's the official Yamaha XJ6 one, (20S-W0706-00 is the product code). I bought it on ebay.co.uk from a Yamaha dealer. I'm sure the XJ6 diversion F is the same bike as the FZ6R apart from the seat. So it should fit your bike. I did pay £100 for it, but it works well at stopping dust and water spraying up under the seat and just finishes the bike off.
