  Looks like Hwy 401 Westbound? If you choose the wrong lane coming out of Milton ain't none of those road warriors going to let you get over to the fast lane. 3 lanes - right lane for merging and exiting traffic and SLOW trucks, middle lane for trucks and left lane for cars. Because the Ontario government is ALWAYS one lane less than is needed (or one set of railroad tracks).

  He had no legal obligation to yield to you. You were the merging traffic and had the legal obligation to yield to the traffic already on that roadway.

  While this is true it is not quite complete, for Ontario. Yes, if there is a sign prohibiting, however there are other specific passing rules in Ontario that are also in other provinces. Specific distances from a curve, hill, bridge, tunnel, viaduct or railway crossing also prohibits passing and the lines are there to indicate such. Again there is no specific charge for actually crossing the lines, the charge is the by-product of doing so in a specific area.

  1. Your video doesn't show them passing you 2. I see no sign saying you can't turn left there into what looked like a parking lot from the left lane mind you. So, I see nothing wrong here. Also, you could see they were turning before you changed lanes

  @@hkuwada Wrong. Middle lane is a turn lane and there was no “no left turn sign”. Driver did nothing wrong except drive faster than the guy he passed.
