Interesting and fun to see. This Plymouth has Belvedere exterior trim with Savoy upholstery and interior trim. The four push button control for the transmission indicates the two speed Powerflite automatic so the engine probably was a 2 barrel carburetor 318V8 called the V800 that used regular gas and produced 225 hp.

Yes it was a two barrel. The owner purchased a dual quad set up from EBay for it.

I knew a guy that sweared by simple green. I think they all work very similar, but with hot water, a pressure washer or a hot water pressure washer you would get great results. I have used similar products on the inside of aluminum valve covers and oil pans and it has worked well

Awesome find! This was my wife’s grandfather’s car (don gray) He bought it new in 57 out of roxboro nc He's told me all kinds of stories from him pulling a camper behind this car back in the late 50s and 60s all up and down the east coast and the Tennessee mountains. He still has the original title That shows he paid $2750 for it new ! He’s 93 now so he doesn’t drive it much but he still enjoys it from the passenger seat lol

Yeah, some of them would strip out the torque converter splines, along with other issues.

The hole is for correcting zeroing the needle ,maybe made by RAC they made alot of gauges and tach's in the 60's and 70's

Ford for me, I have been drooling over that green ford truck sitting at Johns Garage for the last month or so. It was gone today when I passed by there. The 48,49.50 fords were all basically the same body style on the fords. There were only some slight differences in stake pocket on the bed sides. My dad had a 50 when I was a kid and I always wanted to have my own.

I wasn't aware of the topper x package until today when I seen a green one. I thought they were only in green, but I guess it was offered in several colors. Nice video. I owned a 73 years ago.

Yup. Owned a '66. Real nice, wires, auto, yellow and black. Less than 60k miles. Bought it for 150 bucks, drove it everywhere for over 3 years. A Rambler collector made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Gone in 60 seconds.

Test them under pressure. Use a real aviation plug pressure tester and you'll find Champions stop jumping the gap and the spark will travel down the insulator at a much lower pressure than most other plugs. Without a real test using pressure all you have is old wives tales and antidotes.

I can't tell you who made it, but my bosses sister has a 72 Jeep CJ5 and it has the same tach on the column. The Jeep has been in their family since the 70's. That tach has the needle to set your redline

1959 Studebaker hawk was powered by the 259 V8 for economy that year. Also gone for 59 was the Hardtop Golden Hawk. The hawk was now only a coupe until the 62 GT Hawk.
