I can't be the only one who feels like this new album is going to be mid as fuck, right? To each their own, but I feel like every Bad Seeds single I've heard since Push the Sky Away is a tame slog, couched in just enough poetry and weird symbolism to make it seem profound.

This is like the green, green grass of home.
I might be wide of the mark but this feels like it's about that day when you suddenly realise you feel joy and happiness again following a traumatic bereavement and that it's ok to feel that way. I lost my wife suddenly two years ago and had a similar moment driving in the sunshine near a favourite spot of hers - quite unexpectedly found myself smiling and knowing it was ok. Of course I might be completely wrong but thats my take on it anyhow!
