  • @sameochannel7637

    Hi Hannes! been using the length the manufacturer put on the blanks...since we actually use the blanks all the way down trough the handle and is glued into the reel seat. Since a fighting but and lower handle on 2 hand rods is not a part of the blanks, I guess that is not included...However I must confess i didnt take out any measuring tapes, I just used the length printed on the blanks :)

    yourre totally right. I hear that you don't need to do so many false cast and you don't need to cast far at all. but to me flyfishing is the art of casting its orchestrating a beautiful loops in your cast. and I'm happy to sling a line as far as achievable, not just to plop a fly 9 metres away

    I use this for bobber fishing and use it as a stopper knot, so the bobber can hang low with the leader to cast better, when it is in the water the bait and weight sinks causing the line to slip through the bobber and stop on it. Makes you able to fish at a depth of let's say 12ft meters, while using a 7 ft rod. 👍

    When Ola is casting stoke / arc is long does he still have a block stop on his back cast than drift or doses the style change to the 170 stop less cast ? What drills would you recommend for long back cast practice. Enjoyed the video and thanks for sharing.

  • @sameochannel7637
    @sameochannel7637 Жыл бұрын

    Hi! Thats some really interesting questions! Since we made this video, me and Ola been working on a new way to teach the casts...we call i " the red line behind all casts" we try to skip all these ways to teach cast front/back cast to just say: their all the same. its not front back. Try a parallell stance on the side and you will have many MORE options :) You can in this way cast with longer stroke, better control (you can see the line all the time) So this will get you better timing and acceleration..its just left/right cast..or backhand forehand if you prefer...as long as you keep the rod path straight ALL the time you will get a effective cast...I will try to do a video in English this spring :) But basicly: SKIP the backcast, just practice it on the side...longer and longer carry...and when shooting aim 45° upwards and rotate your body as a javelin caster or a punch from a boxer :) look at this one I think you understand it even thou its in Swedish (this is me practicing line control and carry, as well as shooting control :) kzread.info/dash/bejne/qG2el7uIcdy3gdY.html
