    After installing a transmission that was rebuilt if there were codes before for it is there a reset/relearn procedure that we can do to clear the stored code(s)? I have a scanner that not showing any codes but the light isn't showing green its showing yellow(caution). It drives like new with no CEL/SES light just the scanner shows yellow so I can not pass inspection but if green I'm good. Please help.

  • @iamdjnam
    @iamdjnam3 күн бұрын

    You have to drive 1000 miles until the scanner shows green. It’s showing yellow because the EVAP and emission system readiness test is not complete

    did this today on a mustang just instead of using the factory guides like you did i used a guide from a 5.4 was able to cut and shave it to the correct size worked perfect.....i didn't like the idea of the pin and jb weld godforbid it failed the pin has a potential to get stuck in the chain and snap or skip it

    Toyotas seem to run quite awhile with noises wheras Fords seldom do. But if you have a rattley ohc ford rather than spend a pot of money on something that is likely to have a repeat performance, how about finding a 5.0 l. Ohv v8 to get rid of the problem once and for all. And put in a decent AT while you're at it.

    For one you shouldn’t have lime green coolant in a Ford Fords take orange or gold coolant. That could be your problem when you go through water pump so fast just saying.

    What's your opinion on these quick connect trans cooler lines on the 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Track. Leaking. Is there a better aftermarket solution? The cooler is integrated into the main radiator. I'm replacing the Transmission and figure I better fix the leak too. Maybe a future video idea. Smile.

    Really? Your going to blame not frequent enough oil changes. Bullshit! Look at the design total junk I've rebuilt these before. In the era of the 4.0 4.6 and 5.4 all total junk until after 2008 when Ford opened the oil drain passages from the heads. All IC engines eventually sludge up. This is a German design total junk. Who in the hell would put a jack shaft where the cam shaft should be? Run the valve train timing chains in the front where they belong. And why a balancer shaft on the Exploders and not the rest of these junk Fords. That's why I don't drive a Ford. I drive a Jeep but avoid the 3.7 and 4.7. More German Junk. Do the research.
