Great question - actually it was inspired by my college days, when I would go to parties hoping to meet girls but they wouldn't give me the time of day. It's a bit of a cross between "Lookin' for Love in all the Wrong Places" and the book of Ecclesiastes "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity." It's about being stuck in a place where priorities are backward and being frustrated by not getting what you want, especially when what you want is not really what's best for you. Thanks for asking!

@@TheOriginalChurch I really like the song--good to hear a kind of Christian theological take on "being on the make" that's more honest than most party songs!

Ha ha - a song of good silliness based in the real and powerful redemption available to mankind. O Lord Jesus, help us realize our brokenness and that only Your grace will refine us to be perfect according to Our Father's design.
