Just bought a Open Box 40X-2500X LED Trinocular Compound Microscope w 3D Two-Layer Mechanical Stage and AmScope MU Series 9.0MP USB 2.0 High-performance Color CMOS C-Mount Microscope Camera with Reduction Lens and set it up with my stream watching this video. this helped me understand why none of the threads except the one to the camera were actual threads you said slide them in. I want to put kapton around the sides to hold the camera in tight in case i bump the table. the Tinker University lab appreciates your video contribution!

You should calibrate to the longest distance you can see for better accuracy and use the cert results and not nominal to input as the actual. If you cal to .05 you have used your scale six times at .3mm. If you cal to 1, you’re at .3 times. Then you would measure .30 at .3 and not .28. Thanks for the info. Cheers!

Problem is that the MU1000 I just bought doesn't fit inside the trinocular port of the SM-4NTP. I specifically bought your camera after first buying a Hayear thinking that an Amscope camera would work with a Amscope microscope. I am using the scope to work on watches and need a way to record the tear down to assist in reassembly and now I am stuck. BTW, the camera arrived without software or instructions.

I got a camera with only USB connector. When cinnected it to PC i got a very low, unusable, frame rate. That why i never used my camera. And since I'm handicap i can not use my expensive scope. Is there a way ro connect my camera direcly to screen?
When I put extra items on the microscope head like camera and lights the tension knob slides down due to the weight. Is there a way to adjust it so the head of the microscope does not slide down?

Is this adapter compatible with SM-4TPZ? I need something to secure the camera because the USB cable is pulling it out all the time. This adapter looks like THE solution.
I have that microscope as well and I know what you mean about the camera twisting because of the chord. He said in the vid that it was an "SM" series microscope in the video, but you might want to try finding an annotated photo with the measurements on aliexpress, ebay, or the like to confirm.
Looking through the eye piece the image looks sharper than through the MU2003 CMOS. Is there a guide on how to use it?

Nikon may be different in how they work with T2 mounts, but with my Canon cameras, I can set the mode to Aperture Priority and get auto exposure, much simpler that setting it to Manual!!
I used an amscope microscope for hand engraving. I was very satisfied with it at 10x. It came with 20x lenses also, enabling me to set very small stones. I lost everything to burglary. Welcome to colorado.

The part at 4:22 in my microscope have the locking handle pointinting to the left when is locked, which interfere a little with the microscope head, i have to add a washer so it can lock as yours, is that normal? Or, i have to call amscope for that?

I was wondering if you could recommend a trinocular semifocal microscope that I could use with instrumental insemination of queen bees. The gurus in this field state 10x 15x is required to the procedure and collection of drone sperm. i was looking at the SM-4TP-144 or SM-4NTP-144? I would like 90 to 110mm working distance but wondering if a greater distance may be better considering the breakages of glass capillary tubes. If i wanted to increase distance i could use a 0.5 barlow lens according to your video. what about a 3x--45x? would this give me a greater working distance?

Hi, I'd like to know how do you compensate the eyepiece of 10x just by inserting the adaptor of 30mm and the eyepiece camera? Does the eyepiece camera has embedded the 10x zoom of the regular eyepiece lens? Thanks in advance.
