  You can use TACAN and set the runway course via HSI CRS. WPNDSG is waypoint target designator for your weapons, but it´s a nice tip. Keep up.

  Outstanding job with this vid. Your explanations are very good and allowed the viewer to follow along on what you were setting up. Most KZreadrs are rapid fire with directions and most of the time, the viewer, misses half of what they are saying. Keep the same voice pace and people will love your instructions!   Some nice shots! Try increasing the dive angle to 30, even 40 degrees! You want to hit the top of armored of vehicles, they're the weakest on top.

  Cool landing practice, although there are some ''beginner'' mistakes that you could correct man. Mistake (1): When you're on final and aiming your plane to the runway, you must always keep your nose above the aiming point marks on the ground (they are there for a reason). You had it below, and that put you in a bad situation that I'll mark you next. Consequence: You were forced to go a little up before your touchdown, otherwise you would had landed on the blast pad, where there are visible lighting structures. That has a name, and it means you were all the time below the glideslope. Advice: So for your help, try to choose a different airport/base that feature PAPI lights next to the runway, and always make sure to have 2 reds and 2 whites during the approach. Mistake (2): Another thing you did wrong is the aligning to the runway process, that is not supposed to be done in the last seconds unless you're showing off and you're very experienced. Solution: To avoid this problem, don't make the transition between base and final with a diagonal, rather with a wider angle (you performed it with 30°, must be with 90° or above). Advice: In a crosswind (and even normal) situation, your final stage must have your plane fully aligned to the axis of the runway, from beginning to the end. Mistake (3): I'm assuming (just assuming) you performed the whole video with the landing gear extended, giving you a very slow speed. Let the plane fly during the pattern, and then when you're close to the runway, make it go down. Mistake (4): Check your heading during downwind, you must go perpendicular to the runway... That means if you're landing on RWY 31, your heading during downwind must be 130°. Good luck.

  thanks. i will keep working on it. the tomcat is alot different than the Hog. i spend most my time either in the A-10 of my rotary wing (apache huey and hind) but i am having loads of fun with the F-14 . you really have to fly this girl and i am loving it. any and all suggestions and tips i will be grateful for (thou i know i have some upcoming vids that will make every cat driver face palm lol) thanks again and thanks for watching

  New to the tomcat??? Love to see more drivers enjoying the cat. Not bad at all. I encourage you to try an over head break once you get comfortable. Much more challenging but will really test your knowledge on your landing procedures. My checklist is quick. HUD to landing, radio freq to tower, anti skid and spoilers set to both, air brake out, landing gear down, flaps to full. Trim as needed. The rest is easy. Try not to exaggerate your flare before touch down. She’s a navy bird she can take it.

  step 1 get to 200 to 250knts the slower the better Step 2 aim flight path marker a 100ft before the end of runway. Step 3 use throttle to align the AOA marker with flight path marker when you get close stop looking at hud look at the numbers on the runway.
