Safety chains are called safety chains cause they wouldn't cut butter
Lol, off with the rakers
I've actually done a bit of logging with a larger tool handed Milwaukee tool, that I carried into the bush with me at a stage. Go with the small engined Husky's I reckon, if one doesn't want to experience severe vibration effects. Yeah, a recip can do a lot more in green timber than you'd think. But that's the problem, it does work. Except when you understand over time why chains and bars exist (we'd not be able to open our fingers very quickly if we went into thd bush with carpentry tools). On that topic the 550 Husky has got power, it takes wider gauge chain as standard procedure. But the 550 transmits a fraction of vibration to one's hands compared to recip saws. Ditto with the Husky brush cutter implements. I run some other tools in strimmer tool category acquired recently, which frankly I don't think are as safe when considering vibration (but are more economical and sold to the occassional user at garden centers). The give-away with a cheaper strimmer, and with recip saws, even the best of them is the trigger vibration. Where you're compelled to keep an index finger on a trigger that transmits too much mechanical vibration. It's no good.
The point I'm making is that the T540, the 435 or 550 Husky and all associated chains, bars and all of that nano Oregon stuff. None of that became attractive to me though, until my curiosity was first raised by using a recip saw for green timber (and I realized quickly that green timber and recip saws were just too onerous to do, owing to the vibration of the tool). The trigger finger being the big weakness with them.
Is it the 3/8 mini or 325 mini that you tend to run with top handles?
Speedcut nano, I see it mentioned earlier in an episode. I think I have a 16 inch Oregon bar on the top handled tool right now, I switched out the 14 inch for an extra bit of length. I picked up a 435 and started to learn to work with .050 gauge too. I think it was on looking at that saw feature in these Armagh wood cutting episodes.
What I like about the channel is that looking at these tools, the 435 or the 525 etc. Tools which frankly do not get huge exposure. Having had the tools to work with for a while, it's total changed how I approach the general pre-falling area prep and post-fall tidy up. Especially the 435 kind of tool (which I use a lot for tidy up). As the 550 even has a bit too much weight and power running .058 gauge .325 chain, for basic post felling clean up. And tools like the 540 I've got to run at present I've noticed come in to it a huge deal, before the felling get's done. I.e. area tidy up, and pre-fell tree analysis and study. All in all, these tools have their place, and enabled me to work a lot better with the bigger tools.
Great job
Excellent stuff, cheers buddy
They do get heavy friend! You have a beautiful property indeed. Looks like your got a great setup to help beautify your place!
Cheers buddy
Looks like a super cool setup at a great price. I am pretty certain Hyundai does not have a presence here in the states in OPE. Thanks for sharing and congratulations 🍾 on the new machine!
It's not a big brand here either but I've had great look with them so far
@@WoolysWorld good deal man!
And great warranty
I have the same type of setup, except… I have crossed over! Ryobi 40 volt battery pack electric, but for my “postage stamp” sized property it is just fine! I put it up against a stihl fs111, string trimmer, and it held its its own for about an hour before needing another battery, and I am not talking about a small task!
Nice
@@WoolysWorld you should try one sometime, my battery last about an hour on “extreme use” and 1 1/2-2 hrs on normal use
@thesmallwoodlot433 I'm not sold on battery stuff at all
@@WoolysWorld I really wasn’t either, even though I run cordless hand tools constantly, but the size of my property, and the amount of time I spend working with other stuff, it has turned out being a great convenience to just slap a battery in and go, besides now I can weed whack at 5:30 am or 11:00 pm, and nobody will care!😂😂😂😂
Now your talking!!!🤠👌👌💯💯💪👍Nice 😊

Ive been using this model for the last 2yrs mainly as a strimmer and changed the head to a oregon 3 headed blade and use for bramble clearance on my shoot, its chugged away for many a 6 hour strimmimg season with no issues, get one you wont be disappointed 👍🏻
Great job, hard to beat the one for all mulcher
You have to take care cutting bigger branches those things are a real pain if you get the blade stuck
Lol, happened already
@@WoolysWorld Cut half from the bottom then cut from the top- compression of wood scenario. I didn't know you could pick those machines up that cheaply I might consider getting one
@stephenclarke2206 yes, very handy
Trust me they get heavy very quickly, unless your built like a 21 year old Arnie. Absolutely nothing wrong with Hyundai, look after it and I guarantee it will look after you.
You said it
Not sure if you did this but the manual says to re-tension the chain after a few minutes as it stretches a fair bit.
I did, and again . Hopefully it's not a thing
I have the hyundai 62cc chainsaw and fir the money it is definitely worth buying. Has issues but not enough to put me off buying another
Excellent stuff
I'm a gardener in the UK and I actually have two of these 😂 one as a main and the other as a backup. I only run them on Aspen 2 and they are absolutely brilliant. They both start really easily and the engine is very powerful, I think they are 2hp if I remember correctly. I mainly use the strimmer and the brush cutter and have used the polesaw, which is also excellent. I haven't used the hedge trimmer attachment yet but I'm sure works fine. They don't seem to be heavy on the fuel either. Time will tell if they will last as long as a Stihl but if they are treated right and serviced I don't see why not. Spare parts are readily available and are very cheap. Overall I think it is fantastic value and very effective. I have heard people criticise the HYMT5200X for being a bit heavy but I'm used to its weight and it's not a problem for me personally. Thanks for the video.
Works well with the oregon mulching head too.
I have the exact machine. Strimmer is great. Hedge trimmer is quite heavy though. Did it come from I.G.E down south or the UK???
Came from the uk
Maybe spark plug? I've got a 435 as well, great saw. All the best everyone. 👍
Cheers Gordon
I'll say this much, chopping wood can be a very demanding workout. Especially if you're doing it for prolonged amounts of time or in the heat and humidity. In any case, it will work the hell out of every single muscle group that's being utilized during the execution of each chop. 💯
Your right, it's great
450
Nice
are they same length? the S2800 comes in two lengths I believe..
Only one length I could find
Sea foam!
I'll have a look
the soles are coming away from mine after very little use, dissapointed to say the least.
That's crap
@@WoolysWorld yup, nice tough comfy boots but soles are just glued on, gutted!
@philyaboots1 I didn't know that you could still get them
@@WoolysWorld Had them about 3 years but have walked about 20 miles in them, no tread wear on them at all, just the crappy glued sole has let them down.
@philyaboots1 do you think you could glue them back on?
Nice 😊 mate!!! i’ve had one like that, your old one there okay 🤠💪💯. Just don’t let the kids use it all the dog😂

Good value all right. Get urself a wall bracket and mount it on the wall makes it a very handy job. Hozelock are the best by far.
Yes, I think I need it , it has a habit of falling over
@@WoolysWorld only a few quid on Amazon another idea for u is to put a hot tap beside that good one. Hot tap out side is some job

I come here to find a review on an axe and I see this beautiful background. Never seen the channel but God bless you man. I wish I had that kind of land! Assuming you have a lot given this setup. Very good and informative video.

Have you checked the filters
Did you get the franken saw back
Yes, all back ready to rock
@@WoolysWorld 👍 looking forward to seeing it. I bought a new oleo Mac Gs 651

@@WoolysWorld . Nice saw. 65 cc. I'm running a 20 inch bar on it. It's a bit heavy like the 365
@h.m.a.2037 nice
Why not mow it with bagger
What's a bagger
Try some .155mm trimmer line
Any links
I use the speed feed 450 and openend the center hole a littel with a drill and now i can fit 4.3mm trimmer line and its bonkers love it
Nice, have a look at the jet fit, great job
I just ordered a roll of that 4mm flexy blade I'm in Australia so will take awhile but so excited

Nice! Ripping apart things with springs doesn't always lead to reassembly 😜👍👍👊
that's why I use the fiskars

is that a honda brushcutter?
It sure is
this is why we are all obese! This was normal early in 1900's and before, now it's just a matter of rotating a thermostat! Despite of that we all have super easy access to food.
Convenience is killing us
The company that makes WD40 is in San Diego CA. Price probably went up when CA increased the minimum wage.
That could be it
Lots of similar products on the market
