Music is waaaaay toooo loud
Helpful. Thank you
I have a drexel enterprise villa Escalante octagon table and chairs but cannot find anything close to it
is this a statement or a question?
Yes, just yes
I have two upholstered swivel club chairs, they need cleaning. It says no dry cleaning, no water, no bleach. Now what???
Fabulous
We have a Drexel Heritage Leicester desk with hutch, Serial Number 144-912 on the credenza base. It is in good condition. How do we determine the value for resale? Thank you. BobKat
see whats for sale and compare your condition and ability to market meet with people and deliver, then sell it
place your item for sale somewhere at aprice, can you deliver? move the item? is it perfect?, your question is a bit vague
Some AI non research video
Broyal?
It was in the past quality furniture and it still is today....
We picked up one much like your first chair.
Your video in no way matches the words. If you’re going to describe art deco then show art deco
Ok! Cause I care! Go somewhere else for free art deco furniture is worthless
I just purchased a used eaely american style 3 drawer 9 knob dresser. My question is....If i restore it, would its value drop? Second question, should i stain or paint? Third question. How do i find out how much is worth?
Excellent, informative video. Thank you for producing it. I just acquired a set of night stands stamped 210-620-1 and 462 on the back. Also French Accent by Drexel. Inside the drawers it reads by Drexel Reg Trade Mark. Could you possibly tell me what year they were manufactured? Thank you. Cate in Manitowoc, Wisconsin
Hi Cate, thank you for the kind words, i would guess the year may be 1962?
Thank you so much for your speedy reply! I hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend!💐
I love my wild cherry wood bedroom suite, my grandmother bought it in the chicago area either in the 1940 or 1950', the dresser has 3 drawers on top and double side of 3 each, with large mirror, chest 2 small on top and 4 large drawers on bottom. On each side of desser and chest is scool work. The bed is cannon ball and typical of chippendale, bed is double. I wish it had come with night stands, I've looked but have never found any.
I just bought a Biggs Sideboard at a garage sale. Love it
Hi Thank for the video. I have a drexel dresser and mirror. It is labeled 23I6-6 and then below is II/53. So does that mean it was made in 1953? It has curved drawers. Any idea on value?
Probably yes 1953, value guess 50 to 150, like brand new $500 to $750 no flaws clean brass clean drawers no smells..no I between prices, like new or just wholesale
Thank you!!
I just came from so many different KZread pages….. these precious pieces are being found in thrift stores and they are being destroyed. Painted, cut down. I’ve never been so ashamed of peoples ignorance and low class before. I can’t tell you how many Haywood Wakefield hutches and even Temple Stuart’s I saw being chopped up, Chiseled, painted and stripped of their original beauty. I’m sorry, I could throw up. It was so horrifying.
They were making them into Walmart furniture style. They didn’t deserve those pieces!
I actually dont know what to say but agreed! we often are asked while delivering our pieces to remove the frankenstein piece from there home and put it in the garage cause they actually look horrible and low class.
Stickley is not Federal style!
Right it's just ai to text,no reason to be angry..it's free
Actually Stickley has federal lines of furniture and jacobean and mission and today modern
Music is way too loud.
@VintageFurnitureGuide Hello. Thank you for a very informative video. I have a Pennsylvania House oak secretary-style desk, and I'm trying to figure out if it was made in USA or somewhere else. It has four drawers on the bottom, with the top drawer being a bit shallower (in height) than the lower three drawers. It has a slanted hinged front that folds down to expose a desk surface, with three small drawers and some cubbyholes. The only brand marking I can find is a burned-in "Pennsylvania House" logo, burned into the left-hand inside piece of the top drawer. I can find no other labels or markings. Is it possible to tell if this piece was made in USA? It is very solid and seems to be well-built and well-finished. Some scuffs and scratches from previous owners. Thanks very much!
Thank you. I have an antique sideboard with a not-tall mirror topper that looks like an Empire piece. It has two doors on the bottom, the chunky turned under feet, one large drawer above the cabinet doors, and two smaller drawers. The drawers have key holes. When we bought it in the early '70s we had it stripped. It turned out it was made with more than one type of wood. The man who stripped it said that it was probably made during the depression and that's why the two types of wood. Does that sound correct to you?
depression era furniture for sure and many others as welll. depression era chunky furniture looks like jacobean furniture,
I have the white EA bedroom dressers from the '60s and '70s. The white has yellowed and a lot of the veneer around the top corners has chipped off. Can anything be done for either issue? Thanks 😊
you could glue the venner down and maye paint the whole [iece, the yellowing we have never found a way to fix, Hitchcock furniture does the same, i would use a lacquer as varnish also yellows fast, at auction we skip pieces like you described, sorry for negative news. we also may use body car putty to fix missing veneer if you choose to paint, painting furniture in colonial periods was actually quite a common practice, idf the drawers are fiited dont use alot of paint as thre drawers may not fit after painting.
How to get the Ethan Allen model & catalogue
Maybe find and buy one on ebay?
Excellent video very informative ❤❤❤❤❤❤
We need to redo the visuals, thank you
I have a beautiful Heywood Wakefield sewing stand on maine Craigslist ❤
Thank you, great video.
I have had my canal back couch and chair for 34 years. Upholstered twice. Looks brandnew
We have a 1960s Chateau Laurente table with 7 chairs. Any ideas on the worth? It’s in pretty good condition
about $100
pretty good condition today is not good enough, its just wholesale utility furniture unless perfect and like new
Just picked up a beauty. Same as the last one in video. Beautiful condition. Dark wood, all paint is flawless, 40 bucks...
enjoy
@@VintageFurnitureGuide any value?
about 40 bucks? thats what you paid, if you have a regular busy seller account on a major platform we get about $400 but then minus 20% to 30% commissions and any boosted post fees and advertising costs plus our rents heat water lights , like i said we profit maybe $50 bucks at times, not an easy get rich quick scheme, people forget about business operations and costs, plus shipping @@user-uf7ev3ov4k
@@VintageFurnitureGuide thank you, no desire to sell.
Thank you so much for this video. I just purchased a Drexel dresser that I believe is Drexel Heritage Federal Style. Are you able to confirm if it's Federal or something else, or even what year it might have been made? The numbers on the back are: 1615-2S/253
I just can't believe anyone would waste their m,oney on this junk when there are real antiques made with real quality.
Many folks many styles many directions
I visited an Ethan Allen Store last week looking for a Breakfast Nook Table and Chairs! A sales rep showed me a 48” Round Table and Four Upholstered Chairs. I asked for the price and she said “$2,350”! I said OK. She said “do you want to know the total price”? I said, “the Total Price”? She said, “yes, including the Four Chairs”! “It’s $5,350 plus tax”! I ABOUT FELL OVER! The Total with tax was $5,858.00! I looked at a few additional tables and they were all OVERPRICED TO THE MAX! I can’t believe that Ethan Allen charges as much as they do for their furniture? It’s Absolutely CRAZY! The quality just isn’t there! Now I understand why I was the only customer in the store on a Saturday afternoon!
I need help getting the top off of a Drexel Heritage Heirloom china cabinet. Is it one solid piece? Is the top bolted down someplace? It will not go out the doors of house in one piece. Please advice.
go on the bottom doors the screws probably screw up to the top..if glued then yes the piece will have to go sideways out the door
I found one in a garage that has good stencils and paint but is missing three back poles...Windsor Black & Gold...Would like to sell cheap to a restorer...
Enjoy it as know one would restore them..to cheap to pickup at auction ready to go..perfect at auction is 20 to 125 bucks
Shame because it is too good for the fire place...@@VintageFurnitureGuide
I have a book on baker furniture old school one
Thank you posting this material !
Visuals do not match the text. Is this designed by an AI bot?
Yes it was
I just found a piece of Kling furniture at goodwill for 25 bucks
Enjoy it! Hopefully it's clean and good..nice find
Thank you for the suggestion.
Hitchcock furniture
I found a 1980s Drexler Heritage Black Chinoiserie black lacquer cabinet at an antique store with a gold Habersham sticker with black fonts on the right door. I checked the back of the cabinet and its painted black but a section of look like a label was taken off??
Habersham was a designer. Nice stuff when it's in very good condition
Hello, thank you for all this great information. I have a heritage end table and would like to know it value. Do you have an email where I can send you a picture of the end table?
sorry we dont do appraisals, the value is in the condition and the look and your ability to sell and deliver the item, a small side table in used condition i would look to buy at auction for $5 to $50 and spend about $60 to $200 to refinish, then lose about 20 to 30 percent selling it online due to commissions marketing costs and our store, thats why for instance we do not do any consignments. hope that helps , also selling just one piece is alot harder than having hundreds for sale which casts a bigger net.
why make a socalled artdeco furniture guide when you shoe human features instead of furniture . dumb
Sorry, the piano music was too loud and the audio voice was not clear enough to hear well. If I was you, I would redub the audio on this video to make it more clear to listen to.
thank will do soon, thanks for watching
I just picked one up 2 streets over on the curb.
thats usually what they are really worth, the value is like brand new condition other wise just firewood
you gotta put that piano down lower in the mix -- too loud!
agreed, will be redoing these videos soon, thanks for the feedback
Mine has an older logo on the bottom. There is also "Red" stamped on the bottom. Does that indicate the stain color?
no just the color they used
I'm currently looking at a bedroom set of furniture on FB marketplace. It has the Pennsylvania house logo burned into the inside of the drawer but it does not have dovetailed drawers. Is it still good quality?
No,made in china
