I believe that being prepared for a SHTF situation or TEOTWAWKI is something everyone should do. Be it a snowstorm, a power outage, a job loss or a Zombie Apocalypse you will need to survive...somehow.

The inflation calculator is a handy tool. A mini split is the best way to go especially for retro fit. Much more efficient as well.

This is unrelated to the content, but another prepping suggestion is getting a camp toilet that uses water without electricity to flush. Amazon has a decent selection of them. Uses 5 gallons of water in the top chamber and a lever to activate the flush. Prices are reasonable, some under $100. A worthwhile investment in my opinion when water supplies are interrupted and regular toilets not operable. Unfortunately they're not solar powered.

I must've hung out with the guys to much lol. I got scrap boards, pvc, electrical wire etc. My nephew told me once your the only woman he knows that buy tools and uses them. My work shop makes grown men cry. I love tools!

Testing Minuteman missiles launched from Vandenberg AFB are a normal occurrence. I know, I was a safety officer there, and it is standard practice to periodically pull missiles from the field and test fire them for a number of reason. It’s also standard practice to notify Russia of the intended launches of which they do the same for their launches. I wouldn’t be too concerned about that. What does worry me is the administration giving Ukraine the ok to launch US weapons offensively into Russia. Isn’t that a bit of “Cuban Missile Crises” in reverse? I’m not a bit surprised at Putin’s response and I can’t blame him. After all, Kennedy said the same thing about Russian weapons in Cuba.

I made the top the same way & make the base separate so I can fold it up for storage.
I made small racks 2'x3' with spacers so I could stack 3 or 4 trays high for my cannabis. Now I'll pull them out for my garlic and onions to dry. I used A small oscillating fan to expedite the drying. Thank you for the great idea.

There's no way in hell you can stock pile insulin. I have tried. There's no way to do it. The doctors will not allow it. The best you can do is to eat low-carb foods and hope for the best. If anyone has another alternative, please let me know.
I am a female and I throw nothing wood away. I use scrap wood for building a lot. I tore a large barn down when somebody wanted it gone 6 years ago and still have a lot left. Thanks Pinball

You can’t stockpile medicine. Can only get 1 month extra meds from doctors. I never understood why we got involved with Ukraine. Europe should be helping them, not us, not right away. We had our nose in that war the minute it broke out. That’s because Biden is indebted to Ukraine. They made him and his family very wealthy! If we take the attitude that countries come and go, then why fight for the USA? That’s not necessarily the best approach. As for which countries don’t like the USA, that’s why I won’t travel out of the country. I think we upset almost every country in the world.
