This scenario just happened to me last week where the 2 cars right in front of the bus had a collision and we had to wait about a minute or two then the bus driver opened the doors and we had to walk to the next bus stop
The smiling thing is so true. I am an estonian and when I was a kid I traveled to Sweden with my family. I was walking on the street, when a random old man smiled at me and waved. I stared at him in pure shock and ran to my parents. I just couldn't comprehend why a random person would do that, it was so strange. My mom had to explain to me that in other countries people talk to strangers and are friendlier. Blew my mind away:]
These things also apply in finland
I fall in love with Estonia after watching your video. Do I need to learn the Estonian language after moving there?
Yes otherwise you would piss of a lot of estonians. (Plus its okey if it takes a lot of time as long yk some sentences or is studying to learn the languange. You will earn respect for knowning our languange.) Have a night night sir/Madam
@@spidermukk5223 how to get job in there? I am from Bangladesh.
Need to know no , if you know English for example it should be okay. But that said if you learn it then you will probably get way more respect from Estonians. I think after you live in a country for certain amount of time and are not just a regular tourist it's shows great respect if you try to learn that countries language.
I don't agree about the cash - eg, there's a self-checkout in Balti Jaama Turg where one can choose cash or card, also sometimes cashiers ask 'cash or card'
not my teacher having over 1200 facebook friends....
Great video!
Lived two years in Estonia. Sure thing Estonian food can be healthy, but you're also tend to eat more meat than usual (red meat and sausages) due to the fact it's often the only reasonable price option. The winter will also reduce your lifespan like hell if you're not used to it.
There is something wrong with your taste buds, they have been numbed by heavily spiced food from Pakistan. Estonian food is in a class of its own, refined, nuanced flavors put together in such a mouthwatering and delicate way, handled with love, passion and understanding how great taste experiences are created.
Just got back from 3 weeks there. Stayed inn Rapla, visited Narva, Viljandi, Tallinn (loved the Russian market there). Had a blast. Not knowing the language, visiting "local" stores involved a lot of pointing. The "touristy" places all spoke English. Google translate was a big help as you can download Estonian and don't need wifi/connection. The food was pretty damned good if I do say so. Loved the "pirukad", kind of like a meatloaf sandwich. Watched your vids before I went, my friend was surprised that I knew some of the customs. So a huge thanx to you🙂
Estonia belongs to russia bro😂😂
bro really thinks we care lol
Certainly not. Russia is a terrorist state.
Russia belongs to Mongolia bro😛😛
Russia belongs to Ukraine bro
Russia belongs to China bro
Glad to see our country thriving😎
Tere päevast😊
They are simply a very direct and reserved people. That’s also a common thing in the Nordic countries.
Isn’t Estonian like Finnish but _wavier?_
Its very similar to Finnish
Accents are very different these days, comparing pre-ww2 footage they sound almost the same.
Many people have country houses in estonia because estonians have lived in country house ( taludes ) for centuries so people moved to cities to make money easier and have stuff closer to you
Can i work in Estonia 🇪🇪 with a German permanent permit?
my guess is that you're being ignored because people know you'll start talking a lot and they're in a hurry, so they pretend not to see you 🤣
Imagine the problem with Russians or Serbians,I had that as a Croatian;i.e. we congratulate things with a handshake and two "kisses on the cheek" and when we congratulate to Russian or Serbian people it is always muscle memory jerky movements because they use three kisses.
Finnish is also written exactly how it's spoken. Also when imports/uses English words they stick to the Finnish way of pronouncing, reading English in Finnish way. Eg, English word Sale is Sa- le in Finnish, Love is Lo- ve with o pronounced as the Finnish o 😮
I always pay with card and in my favorite places in Tallinn I just ask the waiter/waitress to add 10% when paying - as I understand it, 10% is considered ok! 👍
Good idea.
when the bill is brought to your table you can say "change it to xx" or something if you want to tip and then you can tip with a card, it doesn't work everywhere but most places allow it.
I use to come to Tallinn for 1-2-3 days or a week (around the year) and noticed how decent looking everyone is and no obesity anywhere, of course there are exceptions. Even if I don't know anyone in Tallin, it's so nice being there so back home I have a lingering feeling of Estonian friendliness that I can't put my finger on but it feels I met a bunch of friends. I always greet with a "tere" and then continue in English. Once I was really taken by surprise, as a went to a restaurant, that I visited one months earlier, the staff remembered me and asked if I want to sit by the same table as last time. I don't know what I've said or done, it's a big restaurant with lot of visitors but it was warming I must admit. I don't do any tourist stuff or I'm not a local, maybe the reason they noticed me.
12. juulil kell 14.00-19.00 esinen Suwałkis Chłodna tänaval bluusikontserdiga. Minu hüüdnimi on "Kilpkonn".
Latvian people are similar to Estonian in this regard.
We have ATM-s what take money and give money then mostly likely yea bank workers would be little annoyed if you want to put money on to bank account. Otherwise it's completely normal to pay in cash. And for your last point, we aren't respectful to the authority, we just accept understand the reality and we are conquered so much that we lack protesting skills But over the last 10 years Estonians have opened up much more, speak to to younger people they aren't that reserved anymore they are Europeans.
No need to talk anyone here in Finland either, but it is concidered to be polite if you say "Hello" and "Thank you" for the cashier. Well that the kids go by themself is very common at least in Nordic countries aswell. That the babies sleep outside is normal in Nordic countries too. It is so easy to chance your life partner so that is very common in Finland too. Summer cottages are really common at least here in Finland and Sweden too. Well here in Finland we have law that if someone want´s to cross a street from crosswalk section, then cars have to let them go. I think that the same thing is at least in Sweden too. Propably all around Europe. Estonian people are so indepentend that sharing snacks, candy or what ever is not normal. Just like here in Finland, we buy our own snacks. Polite people might give some of them to friends or offer to give. But we respect if someone has bought something whit his/her own money we might take one or too but no more. And if you want to taste somthing from other person then you have to ask permition for that person first. Ha ha, we have more saunas in Finland than cars so nudity is not tabu here either. Here we might have even mixed saunas with friends and it doesn´t matter are you guy or girl. There is nothing sexual about it and it is completly normal.
How does it challenge you?
Hi Does EU Blue card counts towards the 3 year TRP?
yes
There is 2 options to indicate future in estonian. One way is to add context - for example “Järgmisel aastal ma räägin eesti keelt” means “next year i will speak estonian”, but if you don’t want to add context, you can use the verb hakkama (ma hakkan, ta hakkb, nad hakkavad) which is same as “will” in english - “Ma hakkan rääkima eesti keelt” is direct translation to “I will speak estonian”. If you just say “Ma räägin eesti keelt”, then it is not future, unless you add context or the word hakkan.
Estonia is still an irrelevant microstate.
Just like I thought, they're rude, cold, heartless and bitter. Maybe it has something to do with the Baltics being buddies with the Nazis during World War 2. The Baltics eradicated their entire Jewish populations and this was all done by Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian hands, Germans just supervised. Estonians love to blame all their problems on the Soviet Union, which hasn't existed in more than 30 years. Hard to even call these microstates nations, these micro countries are the size of large cities.
Your next challenge should be to improve Estonia. Obviously it is not perfect. How can it improve?
Do problems even exist in Estonia? Nobody knows enough about Estonia, let alone the problems there, in order to help fix them.
You are a good person, i wish the best, i love Estonia❤
I'ts not because of religioon but its beacase were a small country and we have been in a lot of wars and theres 2-3 women for 1 man becase estonian men were killed in wars

We don’t smile when walking on street because we have lot of thoughts and we don’t pay attention to surrounding :-). Finnish comedian ISMO would say that we are very smart when we have so much thoughts, but Latvians would joke that our main thoughts are “What is this tanned guy with beard thinking about me? Why is he laughtnig, is there something wrong with me?” So go figure what is correct :-)
Hey is there any good hopes for interior designer in Estonian market
Probably not.
OK great. Let’s cut to the chase as our friends in Hollywood say… If you made a video about Shinaryen and perhaps what proportion of women look like that you’ll get many more likes.
aitäh! :-)
Did you know that Hitler disliked cats?

Hello Bro, Nice one again. I wrote via LINKEDIN
Great video. I have one question: I am from pakistan but Can I apply for german student visa from estonia if I have the E-residency?
For us Estonians, temperatures below -20°C aren't considered cold, but anything above +30°C is too hot. At least for me.😀
Hi! Did you need a master degree to be teacher in university in Estonia?
I think you estonians are very similar to us in Sweden for me this is normal in Sweden if someone is speaking loud they are foreigners and especially on the phone. We even have silent designated areas in the train. This is normal
