Train Enthusiast/Rail Vlogger from the Midlands posting Railway related content on KZread
I've been passionate with Railways all my life ever since I was a child and set the KZread account to share the footage that I've filmed but then started vlogging which I have been doing that for 10 years!

Great footage of all the different locos Simon. I enjoyed watching!
Thank you for sharing Simon.
Cathkin Park was home to Third Lanark FC!
Thanks, Simon. I grew up here - recognised Stan Robinson's old premises in the former goods yard straight away (Before he moved to Pasturefields) As a small child I'd accompany my grandfather to the yardmaster's office each week to collect his pension - now 70 years ago. Last time I was there, the weighbridge was still in place, along with an ornate, and very old platelayer's hut - the latter seems to have gone now. Just realised, by coincidence, you filmed this on my 67th birthday!
Thank god there was no 170502
The transport for Wales consist is much longer than I had expected. Where does it run to/from?
Cardiff Central to Manchester Piccadilly
@@Sim0nTrains wow. They run all those services?
Rubbish
@@jamesdouglasjamiesonharrow7981 just like your comment, thanks for the interaction helps get the video seen👍
What a pointless comment, but at least every comment helps the video get noticed 👍
Great video and looked liked a great day for a chase too.
Railways going put back into public ownership next year great British railways. This New labour government
Trains still owned by leasing company
Not quite, yes the Railways be going back into Public Ownership but it when the contract on the Franchises end. For example, CrossCountry Trains won't be in Public Ownership till 2027
Have to wait unit all contacts end open access still run it's called half and half
What do think about great British railways
Nice video Simon. I spent the day following the heritage movements in the midlands today
Nice to see you've included the mural on my garden wall at Attenborough and to have a chat.
Brilliant Vlog Simontrains I’m glad you managed to capture the Network Rail Class 153 in various locations and nice to see you on Derbyshire soil at my local Derby and Tutbury and Hatton I look forward to watching your next adventure wherever it may take you until then take care and stay safe

Thanks what is you're favourite route on train sim world
For me it is the spirit of steam from Liverpool Lime Street to Crewe
Nice video Simon. Good to catch Network Rail 153 and 170502 (oh dear). Thanks for sharing 👍
Epic chase almost close encounters Simon bonus in 4 occasions in capturing the 153, keep it up Mate 👌👌👍👍
brilliant vlog
You can't escape 170502, even now that it's left your local, it will still haunt you.
4hat is true
That went a bit pear shapped
Excellent video. Hope you've had a good weekend. 😀
Brilliant video, Cyber 👍 You never know what might happen when you're chasing workings like this 170502 lol 😅
Was this Pacer on a railtour? Sometimes you get heritage trains doing these mainline specials....
Yes, it did one around the North West of England and into Wales last year, but when filming this clip it was only on a empty stock move
YEEESSS 502! What a chase that was! I do like the 953 'Blueboxes'! Did you see 001 or 002 on your travels???
Great video, Simon! I enjoyed this chase and I'm glad you caught the 153 despite change of plans! Oh look who made a special guest appearance, 170502! That seems to be stalking you all over the place! My stalker is 170458!
Great vlog Simon, I got to ride the icon Glasgow subway trains once back in September 2017.
Thanks Sam
You play train sim world 😂😂
I don't being honest but if you head over to Rockstar Poole 69 channel, You hear me in the videos chatting away in Train Sim World 4
@@Sim0nTrains cool do you like it 😎
East Kilbride line closes in February 2025 until May 2025, when it reopens it should be double lined from the repositioned Hairmyers (glasgow side) until the end of Harmyers loop (EK side). Overhead line should also be installed but no electric service for a couple of years due to no electric seta available.
10:38 £2.90 - £2.30 = ?
@@simonlowe3766 when recorded in February the price was £2.30 but in March/April the fares in Scotland went up by 8% so the current price is £2.90
@@Sim0nTrains 60p added to a £2.30 fare would be a massive increase (about 26%). Checking on line, the current fare is £2.50, which equates to an increase of approximately 8%.
Great video, Simon. It’s great that you can walk around that old stadium freely!
Thank you, it is awesome that you can still can. I do like it and have to thank The Tim Traveller who did a video on the location as well which had my interested.
Great video Cyber, and good to see Jordan again 👍 I wonder if anyone has ever bought a ticket to travel between the two Polickshields stations, given that it's much quicker to walk
Thanks Thornaby37, I'm not sure being honest but be fun to find out
Mount Florida?! Goose Lord what a name ayy lol! Still great video and good to see Jordan
Thanks Tico
Thank you for sharing Simon.
No worries, thank you
Pollokshields West had the same station building design as Maxwell Park but was demolished in late 1980s due to bad condition of the building and was replaced with the simple shelter.
I knew it was roughly the same building and was demolished but kind of forgot it was due to the building in bad condition, than you
When was this filmed
10:12 and you get the answer (It's just that I made it a question in the pinned comment and don't want to spoil the answer, by revealing the date when it was filmed, but if you click the 10:12, takes you to the ticket machine and the date is on there)
Great video Simon. Nice scenery at the Clyde.
Thank you
Great video Simon
Thank you
What a nice variety of traction too, fitting as the Class 380 came out on TSW4 for the Cathcart Circle
There is a good variety of EMUs on the Cathcart Circle but both videos were planned to be released around the TSW Cathcart Circle remastered and the Class 380s
@@Sim0nTrains I had bought the Class 380 when it came out
Excellent video Simon
Thank you Nathan
Just played this in tsw4!
Did you get the 380 too?
@@TB76Returns yeah!
Brilliant video Cyber, Jordan yelling at the leafblower or whatever it was to shut up was brilliant. The station building at Maxwell Park does look nice. :)
I honestly find it frustrating how loud some equipment is despite it being perfectly possible for the equipment to be made quiet. There's no reason why equipment used in the same area should need to run on a combustion engine rather than a battery that can be charged while not in use.

im loving all the stations & im liking the station building at Maxwell park which looks stunning &the Cathcart Circle line looks like a nice line to ride brilliant vlog
Thanks Michael, Maxwell Park has a nice building
It's interesting to see a video on the Cathcart circle. Geoff and Vicki didn't actually show it in their all the station videos.
0:48 😂 The diesel line to East Kilbride, Kilmarnock, Carlisle via Dumfries and Stranraer is called the Glasgow Southwestern Line
Thanks mate 😢hope england win
Thank you, it's honestly appreciated, its coming home 🏴
