"...come roll in all the riches all around you, and for once, never wonder what they're worth." We really need to talk about how possessively we own land as a society but do not take care of it to a scientific standard. That and appreciating things regardless of monetary value. "You think you own whatever land you land on; the Earth is just a dead thing you can claim." Fcking FREE P A L E STINE 🇵🇸 PEOPLE deserve better, and so does nature. It'll take 15 years to clear the rubble of G a z a, and it's full of unexploded ordinances and harmful substances.

I would love to see a Pocahontas live action Disney movie. I have a massive appreciation for Native American culture. I live right outside of the Navajo nation and find the culture so cool. Actually trying to learn Navajo as a white man. My navajo co workers Saud they respect me for doing that. It truly is awful what we did to them in the past. I know we can't change the past. The least we can do in modern day is respect the culture and always be in support of the native Americans. I will always be on their side. It was theirs originally.

As a person who’s listening to this for the first time just for a competition, I’m wondering why this song didn’t come over me before at my lowest times. It’s such a beautiful song and meaningful lyrics I hope everyone can listen to this song and change the world for the best.

What a shame that Disney has fallen this low, Walt's turning in his grave They used to make absolute masterpieces of animation and storytelling and now they're the world's laughing stock because they got political with a toxic ideology I want Disney to be like it once was, fun for everyone to watch

I can see how Pocahontas manages to convince John Smith with this song. Not because if the lyrics but because she does actual magic in front of him. John Smith comes back to the settlement and he’s like “She did magic, I saw magic happening, it’s real. You gotta believe me.” If he’d done that he would have got more people on his side!

You think I'm an ignorant savage And you've been so many places I guess it must be so But still, I cannot see If the savage one is me How can there be so much that you don't know? You don't know You think you own whatever land you land on The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim But I know every rock and tree and creature Has a life, has a spirit, has a name You think the only people who are people Are the people who look and think like you But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger You'll learn things you never knew, you never knew Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon? Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned? Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest Come taste the sun sweet berries of the Earth Come roll in all the riches all around you And for once, never wonder what they're worth The rainstorm and the river are my brothers The heron and the otter are my friends And we are all connected to each other In a circle, in a hoop that never ends How high does the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, then you'll never know And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon For whether we are white or copper skinned We need to sing with all the voices of the mountain We need to paint with all the colors of the wind You can own the Earth and still All you'll own is Earth until You can paint with all the colors of the wind

I’m here in 2024. I watched this movie so many times when my daughter was just 3-4 years old at the theatre and many more times on video. She has many poses with her hair blowing in the wind to look like Pocahontas. My husband and I would say “is that Pocahontas?!” She would just stay in character :) We talk about it today even as she is a beautiful 31 year old young woman. That movie was so impactful and beautiful! I grew up in Oklahoma. My upbringing respected native Americans but didn’t really show the negative side~the atrocities brought upon native Americans. I am reminded of this song randomly while I’m on my phone tonight. Listened intently to the words…an awesome song and movie!!

I know this is probably a controversial take, but I love Pocahontas. Yes, the movie is completely inaccurate to historical events that it’s based on, but I’ve never viewed this movie as anything more than a historical fiction fantasy movie. This is the story we wish would’ve happened contrary to what actually did happen
