As a German, I never got how a car company can name itself "Oldsmobile" when selling anything else than vehicles for elders. Because gems like this one certainly aren't intended for grandpas. It may look and sound even better than a Charger or GTO of the time (all a matter of taste). A very beautiful vehicle, and while American sales go up in Europe each year, you rarely see those classics anywhere here. Soon I'll be in the US for a half year, and whenever I see such a piece of art somewhere, I will try to get over my introversion and talk to the owner about it. And recording some sound with him, because modern American V8s still sound nice, they are no match for the classics.

@ Bill C - very nice 1969 442. I had one in the mid-70s. It was brown with a black vinyl top. I also had a 1965 442. A deep red just like your '69. I hope everything is working out with your 442.

Remember, of all of thse classic cars, in those days, we simply accepted tham as normal. These are what everybody was driving. Not many VWs or MGs, and for a long time, zero Japanese cars. Most people never heard of BMW or Volvo. Great music on the AM radio, trustworthy TV news, friednly attitudes from strangers.

I bought a 69 442 in 1999 Cameo white/red interior. Thank God i havent had to sell it for anything, not always easy keeping a car like that for 25 years. I have a 17 year old son that plans on taking it over some day in the future. He absolutely loves it.

If you had lived in Glen Ellyn Illinois back in 68-69, red 442s like this were what the local police were issued. Saw one cop crack the throttle in one of these, right downtown. I still remember that roar.

A new bumpstick is about $250.00. I hear a lot are made in a foreign land and are shti quality. Look up Elgin Camshaft it's more expensive but a good product. I believe they are still in Santa Rose Ca.

Why are you keeping the puppy? If the older dog doesen't like this puppy? When you get a new dog fot the family. Ot must be interduce by thr dog first. Or take the dog with yoy ehen you decide for s new dog. Let the older dog choose, they feeling what is right or wrong with the pup.

@@Borninthe80s.I was going to write the same thing. This is a perfectly normal reaction, the chance of the older dog actually harming the puppy is very slim. But it might turn the puppy on it's back and open it's mouth in a scary warning manner. Which is also normal.
