I often go fishing with friends in China. When I visit my relatives in USA, I also go fishing and travel around. Therefore, I’ve chosen FishingAP (Fishing Across the Pacific) as my ID.

Please be clearer in your wording. GRASS carp are invasive and should be killed if encountered in California. COMMON carp are non-native but fully integrated and naturalized and should NOT be killed.

Thank you for the experiment and results. It looks delicious! I saw a copper-like frying pan you used to fry the fish in butter and lemon - I am told to avoid using copper with lemon as there is a harmful chemical reaction. The risk is less if the copper pan still has a coating. Enjoy!
As far as I know, most reservoirs in California are used as sources of potable (drinking) water. Therefore, many do not allow motorized watetcraft and many do not allow swimming since it may contaminate the water, (as if fish do not pose a threat. ) Some are quite strict such as Hetch Hetchy in Yosemite which provides water for San Francisco.
I appreciate your experience and the results! Will go with milk.

Too much waste of milk unless can use again. Fresh or store if it is good & made right away if fresh it is okay if it is good. I hate real fishy smell. I will smell the salmon with seasoning that I am making right now I got at Walmart. Those were yummy. One time ages ago I had a salmon I did not like it, but now since trying it again & got right ones, etc I do. Still not my fave fish. I rather Whiting taste dried or grilled, etc of white meat not peculiar tasting like pink salmon is.
After the experiment, we go with salt all the time, most cost effective:)
The difference between milk and water was easy to tell in my experience. The difference between salt water and milk was hard to tell.

Some kids were swimming there when the beach condition was recorded, so I would assume the water also tasted ok. Overall, the firefighters contained the damage pretty well so far, as this beach is so close to the bonhomme richard
