    Unfortunately, these cheap and inexpensive cars are no longer heard of in many areas of Europe. Due to pollution regulations. Although it consumes more, it is better to choose the 1.4 gasoline, which is euro5.

    This is wrong man, the recaros were an optional extra. They ARE correct to the car

  • @projectfearn
    @projectfearn23 күн бұрын

    These recaros are out of an rs turbo they have the green line in the fabric. Rs1800 and xr2i 16v material has a light blue line in it. You may of been able to upgrade the wingbacks to recaros but they would of been recaros from a fiesta rs1800 not rs turbo

  • @underminer2223

    Those recaro seats are correct to the car. They were an optional extra out of the factory! It is incredibly rare to find them with these recaro seats these days. You know because the window switches were moved to being on the doors rather than in the center console if it came with those recaro seats!

    I actually replaced mine today. Been sittning there for 15 years so i thought i was in for a real challenge. Took less then 15 seconds to get it off. What i came to understand is that you need to wiggle it. If you pull straight out you're in trouble, wiggle it and it will come loose with ease. And about that rubber thingy with an arrow. My arrow points att 10/11 or something. And has been so since factory

    10 years ago I was looking for a big car with 7 seats. I have done a test drive of 807 2.0 hdi of 2009. It was like driving a company bus. It did not feel great. I asked the seller to let me think about it. Within few weeks I did have testdrive in a Ford Galaxy 2009 2.0 tdci (with the same engine as the 807). The Ford was driving and feeling much better. It was a huge car, but it felt like driving the Mondeo. I skipped the 807 hdi and took the galaxy. Drove about 300.000 km's with the Galaxy. It was a great strong and reliable car with huge space.

    After watching your video, I think the next gasket down is the one that's leaking on mine ( valve cover gasket? ) a few drops of oil go onto the inlet manifold over time, so I'm not sure if that's a DIY job as who knows what I might find once I get started lol I'll get the engine cleaned up and then i should be able to what's causing the oil leak!

    Thanks for the video with real world feedback. I'll probably have to change my 25 year old VW Golf Mk4 in the near future. An absolute dream, so reliable that my neighbour has twice offered to buy it off me as it's more reliable than his new Opel. I've been thinking about a secondhand Berlingo for some time. I live in a village in the Czech Republic and my neighbour has an old one and newer one. He's a farmer and swears by them.

    Same as mines apart from this is facelift jelous of the wheels. Really like the care your putting into this too many cars get beat uo and end up scrap. Budget tyres suggest its been cheaped out on everything else. Good tyres are a must

    It's a lot of money to spend on such an old car. The labour will be the same again, possibly more so you're going to be looking at over £1000 and maybe even over £1500 on a car that's not worth much more so the logical answer would be not to bother. However, £1000 is 3 monthly lease payments to many people and their monthly payments never end and they'll never own their cars. So, if the Berlingo is serving you well, I'd be tempted to get the work done and keep it. You might have no bills for the next year. Cars cost money no matter what you get. I'd rather own an old car and have the repair bill every now and then rather than paying off a huge loan or even worse renting a car from a lease company.

    I'm just doing mine but a few problem. Injectors are covered in oil. I've worded a new cam cover as its possible the seal was leaking as there was lots of oil over the injector tops areas. So hopping this was the reason why oil is leaked in. Also I can't seem to get out the copper rings. Not shore if there even in there as the oil is there. I've tryed pulling the inside hole with metal wire but seems to be stuck or not there. 😢

    Well I've managed to change both light bulbs in my little ka (mk 1, 1.3) Did it without removing the bumper or panel underneath but by god it is a squeeze to get your hand in. The nearside was fiddly but the offside was almost impossible. Did look at removing underside of bumper yet 18 year old screws were not gonna come off & then go back on again. Next time the garage can do it 👍
