The merger , thunder and getting rid of eric and replacing with russo let to the demise. oh and to the marks even wcw low ratings piss all over ECW and AEW

WCW had the tools. They just did too much. Goldberg was over for a while then they went too far with him. Vince Russo came in. Every god damn match had some sort of interference. The most interesting match ups and pairings of wrestlers were almost always interfered by "drama". I was never surprised WWE won even though WCW had my favorite wrestlers.

ECW was amazing, but he never found a way to get it to sniff half anywhere close to the popularity of those Monday Nitro days. I like Paul Heyman, but just don't agree with the take the more he pulls back. But, when he's pegging the truth on Hogan matchups and Bischoff dye jobs and that sort of thing.. ha.. totally.
