It always amuses me when no one figures out what the oldest game is. They’re playing pretend. But gods and angels aren’t the same as mortals. They *are* what they pretend to be. So it’s a bit bigger in scale. And despair would beat hope, but for Lucifer to choose despair would be to give up any hope of seeing heaven again. She would win, but would give up her greatest dream. That’s why this is my favorite single scene in the series.

Despair doesn’t work either as hope and despair are equal.

I have been in love with Death of the Endless for over a decade. Watching these reactors figure out who she is and love her and see her kindness and love. O wow this tore me up. Thanks for this compilation she is so wonderful she is such a gift of a character from Neil Gaiman

So I guess I'm one of the few who are of a religion where death is viewed as a friend or more like a shadow that comes for us all in a form that isn't horrific. We mourn those we loose but not Death itself.

Lilith was BEFORE Eve. Lilith was made as Adam was, not from Adam, but the same. She refused to lie on her back for Adam, and was therefore banished from Eden. It is then that she became, in some cultures, the paramour of Lucifer, giving birth to demons, and taking the lives of children. Lilith was ALWAYS first. Not from the rib of Adam, but of the Earth itself.

16:30 this Moment in particular is such a testament to how amazing the writing is in this episode (and series in general) that it can make you grossed out by an adult consenting relationship. My favourite episode of Television ever.

They seemed somewhat dodgy about Alex and his boyfriend. Like they'd have said some "things" if it weren't for YT guidelines. It may be why they cut around the last scene with Alex because, well, most of the reactors may have just acted weird and shirty about it.

Okay. This is to the asshat commentator whose comment was" oh, he's old. Probably racist." Scene unfolds and it is an old Jewish man. Someone who may have lived through the Holocaust. Lost his family and friends in concentration camps. Or maybe not. But definitely a group that has been the target of racism for centuries. Not everyone over 30 is a racist. Members of that generation fought for civil rights and still do. What have YOU done to fight racism, ignorance and hate beyond a snide comment on You Tube? Okay, rant over.

Seeing how differently people respond to death is fascinating. An old man, who lived a good life, asking for more time. To the young “junkie” who goes happily, willingly, ready to leave. I pray death is this beautiful and kind when it’s my time.

I love how they all miss the fact that the bits of background conversation happening in the bar each time they meet reflects the idea of how while some things change, some things remain the same. It's something Gaiman put into the comic book panels intentionally.
