    Lies, the hardest part is getting sent to a unit willing to pay for Warrant school. If it was based off of qualifications then I’m positive the people in the video wouldn’t have made the cut

    @@CONationalGuard Cool story, getting to a unit that has the training funds to allow you to go to any school is the hard part. It’s not based on merit or knowledge, just location

    Sounds like they need to fix the process because that's piss poor leadership, making things hard for reasons unrelated to aptitude

    Next challenge: find a recruiter that doesn’t lie to you. Seriously, I have a masters degree and these dudes will do whatever they can to get you to enlist, as opposed to become an officer.

  • @CONationalGuard

    Not with us, our recruiters enlist a lot of 09S, which stands for OCS Candidates. Our recruiter will discuss all the options available at the table for our applicants.

    As an Army veteran I would say it has benefits and drawbacks. I don’t care what a recruiter tells you the unit you end up in matters more than anything. I went from a unit I would have been happy to stay in forever (I know it doesn’t work that way) great leadership. To horrible units that didn’t are about the soldiers at all. The biggest problem is bad unit, good unit, bad unit, worse unit…..and I’m still broke yeah no thank you😂😂😂

    @@CONationalGuard I'm attempting to go 18x but live in AZ and recently lost my job so a bonus wouldn't hurt but I'm not ready for SFRE or SFAS so was thinking of going 11b with CONG until I'm ready. My main goal is earning a Green beret and getting my Combat diver badge and Freefall Badge and eventually becoming a DS.

    As the DoD continues to send taxpayer funds to Ukraine, there are less funds to be allocated to discretionary funds/requirements. So bonuses, tuition reimbursement and other “non essential” programs are the first to be cut. 100% facts

    When my division of my civilian job was sold to a foreign country I learned of the option I had with the National Guard. I joined and served for five years. When I saw people who had over fifteen years being denied permission to re-up to finish their twenty and retire I decided I would quit them before they quit me. I still had ten to make my twenty years, I was at the top of my job and twice the age of my peers of the same rank. I don’t regret it, and I praise God every day I am not serving under the shitty misleadership of the past few decades. President Trump was the last good president we’ve had and we need him back. Is it possible to get into the guard if you have a felony? Is that a hard no, does it depend what it is or how long it’s been?

  • @itshunni8346
    @itshunni8346Ай бұрын

    It's not a hard no, but the Criminal disqualification covers nearly every felony. Any sex crime, murder, aggravated assault, domestic violence, and drug related offense, and 4 traffic violations are permanent disqualification. You also can't be on parole.
