I never understood the gundam fans or universe. Like are the bad guys dumb or something their are so many typpes of gundam why don't they make one for themselves??

Thats like saying china should just build an exact copy of a F-35 because the F-35 is so good, gundam's aren't powerful because they are gundams they are just powerful prototype mobile suits. in the original show its just like if someone had developed a F-35 in the 80s. the bad guys do get their own gundam equivalent in the Gelgoog but its not a gundam because it being a gundam doesn't make it all powerful unless we are talking about plot armor but in universe the Gundam and the Gelgoog are almost the same

Their defeat made them realize that mistake and had Tem Ray, father of Amuro Ray, to create mobile suits. The Gundam, the Guncannon and the Guntank. As prototypes before the mass production of GMs.

This is early in the war and the federation underestimated mobile suits and were lagging behind in their own development. The space ship serve as a base camp for mobile suits to return for repairs and resupply along with providing intel and orders. Think of them as aircraft carriers.

I love Gundam but the thing that keeps coming to mind about these two is that it's like two petty little kids arguing while playing a game of 'War' "I shot you, you're dead!" "Nuh uh, I blocked your shot with a shield" "Oh Yeah! Well I got extra arms that hold loads of guns so you can't block them" "Nuh uh! I got extra arms that hold loads of shields so I can!" ...and so on...

Took them too lightly and paid for it in the end. About 20 Feddy suits slaughtered by 4 Zeon, 3 being the soon to be Black Tri-stars.

Not exactly a fan of the invincible new type of weapon trope that doesn’t it all get defeated. There’s no way there aren’t any Zakus getting trashed with all that ordinance the federation is throwing at them.
