  If you're willing to drive onwards beyond Tagaytay, you can actually go to Taal proper. That town is a heritage town and looks a lot better than Intramuros. Edit: Besides Intramuros, Binondo and Quiapo are worth exploring too.

  All the Spanish architectural heritage of Spanish Manila (Intramuros) was burned and destroyed in 1945. But luckily, San Agustin Church survived destruction and bombings of world war 2, and it is now 437 years old.

  I luckily didn't have to pay anything for my accommodation, because I stayed at a cousins house. I personally booked all activities on site. (No package for me.) Just book things depending on what really interests you. If the package includes that, you should maybe take it. When not, it might be better to just book things by yourself.
