That machine is always cold as the sea, glad you got a very good hit. The other day i was so sad, i almost won the grand jackpot, there were coins in that last spot but all 3 turns of coins it didn't come to the party. My heart though 😂 i wanted to win that $23,000. People say if you see coins in the last spot then you get the grand, not true with me 😭
Unfortunately I know it’s possible to see the orb and not get it - I much prefer when it’s not in the window, at least you aren’t truly disappointed. To have it flashing and not hit is the ultimate letdown. Hopefully next time you get it!

Hahahaha...the answer is "never!" I clearly should've left that machine way sooner - it's obvious it wasn't hitting. I get way too stubborn. It was nice to hit the spin, but obviously would've liked something a little bigger.

Rule of thumb that I've followed for some time now... if I get teased with bonuses more than 5 times, I get up off the machine. At that point, the machine is teasing you to stay during its "collection mode" time frame. It's helped me A LOT.
I do think there's something to that - when it teases, it's either about to hit, or it's pulling you in for a long ride. I'd bet we could go through my videos where it was teasing and see that it was one extreme or the other.

Yay! First comment today!!! when my local casino in Southern Oklahoma got these new cabinet style games, I won quite a bit of money betting $50 max bets. I won the progressive bonus several times, but ever since then, they have been losers for me and it’s sad because no one really ever plays them anymore.
I feel like a lot of these games payout early and then go back to "normal" ...or perhaps the new normal. I don't see many people playing them compared to how much the old machines got played.

How much were you betting? I think it’s a game to go 100-150 spins max and walk away if it’s not paying. The problem is that by then you’ve dug quite a hole, and as you said, many of the bonuses are terrible. I really play it for the super grand chance, which is more likely to show up at the higher bets…but it’s useless if I’m down $5k to end up with an extra $1k orb…but maybe one day I’ll get the actual super grand, which would make it all worth it…maybe.

The answer is to walk away sooner. These machines hardly ever hit a big enough jackpot to justify going so deep. The high limit one has the bets to recover. The main floor ones that cap at $50 hardly ever give more than $2-3k at the absolute most...and it can take thousands before it happens.

Absolutely love Dollar Storm slots but when they are cold, they are Antarctic Cold. I once max bet every denomination and lost 5k without hitting a single bonus or free games.... but when they are hot, its unreal. I've put in $500 and built it up to $9k in 30 minutes on 9 different bonuses.
They are definitely all feast or all famine. I would not play them as much, if not for the added super grand chance that's looming. They are so volatile, it's better to put in $500 and see if you can run it up...and then leave. I really am trying to stop myself sooner on them, since the chance of getting back to even is nil once I get too deep.
