  You are correct there are many excuses for Anti-Semitism including jealousy, and blaming the death of Jesus on us, but the origin of Jew hatred goes back before the birth of Jesus to the Greco-Roman empires and the clash of cultures at the time, and later to fundamental Islam. If you look through history you will see no sanctioned Anti-Semitism in Germanic and Slavic lands before the Graeco-Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches took over the area, then Jew hatred was passed down from Graeco-Roman culture to Graco-Roman Christianity. You will also find no officially sanctioned Anti-Semitism in Turkish, Berber, and South Arabian nations until they accepted fundamental Islam, because they had good relations with Jews from pre-Roman times. This is the unfortunate root of Jew hatred, which is unfortunately now being propagated in even Western socialist circles as well as religious. In some countries like India and Burma even though Jews lived and traded there for generation they have never had officially sanctioned anti-Semitism.

After all, the essence of blowing the shofar means blowing your breath back to the Giver of all breaths and should indeed involve an inner mindset to the _Eiwishte_ . But it should also be mentioned that the shofar was sounded after the giving of toraoh and when Israel encamped or went on their travels as a sign that G'd is always with them. _Bevo'aecho uvazeithaecho_ .
